“Me?” She questions intently

I nod my head

“What about me?” She asks anxiously looking at me for an answer

“Well…Alyssa you remember when I asked you to come over to my house and then you texted and said you couldn’t?”

Alyssa’s face became stoic and she slowly nodded not saying anything.  Figures

“Anyway.  I wanted us to be friends because I like hanging out with you when we were tutoring me”.   I pause…..God I’m such an idiot.  I’m friendzoning myself right now but I don’t know what else to do and I’m not confessing my feelings for her when she has a girlfriend.

“You…You do?”  Alyssa answered curling her lips into a smile

“Yeah of course I do”. I answer and smile at her briefly before I begin to frown because I remember how she just totally pied me off

“But I was upset with you because you blew me off ever since you got with Holly.  Every time I would try to talk to you it felt like you were disgusted by me and I couldn’t figure out what changed so Bette overheard me at my locker taking out my frustration and she asked what was wrong so we ended up having lunch together.  She didn’t say much though she just listened to me”  I finish knowing some of that was a half truth anyway.

I was suddenly pulled against a blouse covered chest and felt arms wrap around back…Dear God she’s hugging me

“Oh Tina…I’m so sorry…I’m such a fucking idiot…I did feel so bad for canceling on you. And I wasn’t sure how to make it up to you so I just avoided you”

Is she for real?…I am really not buying that and this current position I’m in isn’t helping either.  I push back from her because I do not need the distraction of her boobs smashed directly into my face.  And the scent of her perfume is turning me on. Damn it

“Why did you cancel on me and avoid me like the plague?” I ask her as she loosened her grip and removed her arms from around my back

I could tell she was hesitating to answer

“Tina..I had an opportunity to get with Holly so I took it..She asked me out and I have really liked her for a long time..I was just always too nervous.  And I didn’t expect her to ever like me. So when I got home she and her parents were at my house.  Our fathers are merging their companies together.  We started talking abs she confessed she liked me and asked me out…I was ecstatic” she says and smiles which seems to be forced.  I don’t know if she is telling me the truth but whatever.
