”Ok. Well, I’m going to go play now. By Dani…”
”Bye, Angie…”
Angelica hops off her mother’s lap and goes and leaves the room.
”Hey, you…” Tina says into the phone.
”Hey yourself, how are you?” Danielle asks.
”Well, I’m fine so far, but I just got here, so ask me in a few days.
”So, you haven’t seen anybody yet?”
”No, not yet, but Angie’s’ hungry, so I may take her by The Planet….”
”So soon?” Danielle asks.
”Yeah, I may as well get it over with ….”
A few beats pass before Danielle responds. ”I miss you guys so much already, baby….”
”I miss you too, honey, but hopefully, these few months will pass by quickly, and you can come out here with us for good….”
”Yeah, I just wish you could have landed a job anywhere besides Los Angeles….”
”Honey, we’ve talked about this. You have nothing to worry about as far as Bette Porter is concerned. I haven’t talked to her in six years….”
”Yeah, I know. I just…… I’m worried about what’s gonna happen when she lays eyes on Angie for the first time….”
Tina sighs and drops her head. ”Yeah, trust me, all sorts of scenarios have gone through my head….”
”You know you could avoid all the drama and just jump on the first flight back to Orlando….”
Tina smiles. ”Don’t tempt me… I better go. Angie needs to eat….”
”OK, call me if you need me, no matter what time it is. I love you…”
”I love you too….” Tina ends the call and closes her eyes. She takes a few deep breaths, mentally preparing to rip off the metaphorical band-aid covering her painful wound for six years……

About an hour later, Tina holds Angelica’s hand as she stands outside The Planet. She takes in the hip new outside seating area of the still booming business that’s obviously still a hot spot for West Hollywood.
Tina watches people pour in and out of the place for a few more beats before she takes a deep breath. ”Well…here we go…” She quietly says to herself before nervously reaching out and opening the doors.

Inside…
Tina tentatively enters and gently smiles. The place’s layout is different and livelier than it was years ago. She looks around for any familiar faces and sees Kit behind the counter, laughing and talking to a customer.
