I Will Not Let You Fall

Tina winced. Bette’s words filled her heart and made it bleed. Not knowing how to formulate her excuse, she wondered if any excuse would make it all better. No, it wouldn’t, she thought. Bette didn’t need her excuses at this point, she needed her love.

”I love you… I love you so very much…” Tina murmured, kissing all over Bette’s face so softly, so persuasively, Bette lost herself for a moment. ”Do you believe me, baby?”

Bette’s lips began to tremble. She shook her head, silently giving Tina a negative response to the question. Right then her face contorted into a series of deep lines as her eyes roamed over Tina’s face, seeking for some kind of reassurance. Incapable of controlling herself, she burst into tears.

Tina stared at the brunette, startled and confused.

”I keep thinking lately that…that maybe you just feel sorry for me and that you don’t really love me…” Bette wept.

Appalled by the discovery, Tina just blinked, stupefied, and watched the wretched woman in front of her. Her deep instinct was to take Bette in her arms, but her body had simply gone numb. She had had no idea how badly her actions had affected Bette. She couldn’t believe Bette was doubting her love.

Having waited until Bette was calmer, Tina finally uttered, her voice somewhat dull, ”I don’t know what to say, Bette. Except that I’m really so sorry you think this way. I swear to God it wasn’t my intention to make you think this way. I can definetely tell you right now that I’m not feeling sorry for you. I’m sorry for a lot of the things that have happened to you, yes, but I do love you. You can’t even imagine how much I love you. How much I’m scared for you, for us, for myself.”

Bette wiped a slow flow of tears from her cheeks and took a deep, shaky breath, pulling herself together after hearing Tina’s statement. ”I know… I’m scared too.”

”Come here,” Tina whispered thickly, her gentle hands cupping Bette’s face. She then drew Bette in for a long, slow kiss of love and union, a kiss full of need, full of giving and taking.

Their lips parted simultaneously and their tongues intertwined in a sensual rhythm. As the kiss deepened, Tina heard Bette sigh, and her tongue captured it, tracing the line of Bette’s lips from corner to corner.

    1. Hi Valerie:

OH, MY GOD, this chapter is amazing, and very hard for me, I needed a cup of tea and cookies to read it, during my lunch break in my job; you made it so real, like watching the movie.

I think that finally, Bette touched bottom I hope she won’t fell farther, and she could start changing things, she needs to think in a wisdomly way; Arnodelo is looking for her, and her only choice is to make a deal with the prosecutor and give away Armodelo and his cartel and gang; she has some money she needs a very good attorney; she has to start thinking about a new begining with Tina, after she pays her bill to society (which I hope will be low, with the help of a lawyer) to the system; anyway, the people she killed were criminal, and she didn’t kill the girl, Miranda, that was killed by Dominic and Arnodelo.
Wow, Valerie, the story is very good, I hope the end would be very good also.

Thank you so much for the wonderful and spine-chilling chapter.

I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next one, pps.

    3. Wow! Thank you for an amazing yet very tearful (for me) chapter! I was hoping beyond hope that Bette was an undercover cop but it doesn’t look like it! Anxiously awaiting for next chapter! By the way you are a great writer!

    4. Hope, Tasha is alive – not to add to all other charges against Bette. Shane is a great friend indeed. And Tina is a bit of a disappointment to me. Maybe she is just too young to fight for her love. So its a big question, who will not let fall whom…
Thanks for the great story! That’s definitely not the end yet, is it?
