I Will Not Let You Fall
By the middle of the morning the sun was beginning to burn with quite a heat, so while Bette napped, Tina took a swim in the cool pool naked. Having freshened up enough, she went upstairs to find her phone, planning to call her mother and find out what time she was supposed to be at home for the party.
”Tina?”
”Hey, mom.”
”My goodness, where did you go last night?! You totally disappeared, I called you a thousand times!” Amy spoke in a frantic voice.
Tina pursed her lips. ”I needed to be somewhere.”
”You could’ve at least warned me that you were leaving. I do not appreciate this, young lady.”
”I’m sorry,” the blonde answered in shame. ”It slipped my mind somehow.”
”So where did you have to be so urgently that your brother’s wedding wasn’t enough factor for you to stay?” the woman wondered with a hint of suspicion. ”I can guess though.”
”Well, your guess is probably right.”
”Sweetie, I thought we’ve talked this through already? You even agreed with us that it was better to stop seeing her.”
Tina rubbed her forehead. ”I couldn’t help it. And I will never be able to…”
”You can’t help looking for trouble? Is that it? Because she is trouble, Tina. Your father told you.”
”Her name is Bette,” Tina grumbled through gritted teeth.
”Please come home, Tina. Your father and I are worried. Also the guests will be coming by four in the afternoon.”
Tina rolled her eyes. ”Can you please calm down? I’ll be home by three. See you soon, bye.”
After hanging up on her mother the irritated blonde grabbed her dress and high heel shoes that she had worn the day before and jogged down the stairs. Tossing the dress and shoes on a chair she was passing by, Tina made her way back to Bette.
The dark-haired woman was still sleeping soundly. Tina wondered if she should wake her up and drive her to her apartment so she could rest there in peace. As she was contemplating on it, her phone emitted its distinctive sound indicating an incoming text message. With a slight frown Tina looked at the display. It was an unknown number. With the frown growing deeper she opened the text.

Hi Valerie:
OH, MY GOD, this chapter is amazing, and very hard for me, I needed a cup of tea and cookies to read it, during my lunch break in my job; you made it so real, like watching the movie.
I think that finally, Bette touched bottom I hope she won’t fell farther, and she could start changing things, she needs to think in a wisdomly way; Arnodelo is looking for her, and her only choice is to make a deal with the prosecutor and give away Armodelo and his cartel and gang; she has some money she needs a very good attorney; she has to start thinking about a new begining with Tina, after she pays her bill to society (which I hope will be low, with the help of a lawyer) to the system; anyway, the people she killed were criminal, and she didn’t kill the girl, Miranda, that was killed by Dominic and Arnodelo.
Wow, Valerie, the story is very good, I hope the end would be very good also.
Thank you so much for the wonderful and spine-chilling chapter.
I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next one, pps.

Wow! Thank you for an amazing yet very tearful (for me) chapter! I was hoping beyond hope that Bette was an undercover cop but it doesn’t look like it! Anxiously awaiting for next chapter! By the way you are a great writer!
That was a great ride. Thanks
Hope, Tasha is alive – not to add to all other charges against Bette. Shane is a great friend indeed. And Tina is a bit of a disappointment to me. Maybe she is just too young to fight for her love. So its a big question, who will not let fall whom…
Thanks for the great story! That’s definitely not the end yet, is it?
