    The emotions spilled over and she crumpled to the floor on her knees letting out all the pent up emotions she had been holding in since she woke up from her accident.  She didn’t even know arms had wrapped around her and a body was pressing into her until she heard a voice in her

    “I know..I know..I’m so sorry Tina…I won’t force you to stay ok..I won’t force you…I love you too much to ever force you..I care about what you want..I will give you what you want”

    That made her cry even more.  This woman was so loving and nurturing and she couldn’t even remember her.  She suddenly felt remorseful for unleashing her anger on the woman

    “I’m..so.. sorry…Ba.. Bette” she croaked out between sobs

    “It’s not your fault..None of this is your fault” Bette replied calmly stroking her fingers soothingly through the blondes hair “This isn’t your fault” she repeated in such a loving and caring tone Tina began to calm her crying.

    “I..I…wa..want to le..leave…I..ca..can’t be he..here” Tina struggled to say.  She knew if she stayed she would make Bette hate her and she didn’t want that.  This woman was too nice and too kind and Tina couldn’t bear to hurt her anymore.  It was clear Bette loved her but she couldn’t return the same sentiment and didn’t know if she ever could.

    And without hesitation Bette decided right then and there to let the love of her life go. She was never going to force Tina to remember her or their love and even though this whole situation has shattered her into a million pieces she was so grateful Tina was still here alive and well.  It would be the only consolation that would comfort her..She suddenly thought about a wise saying she had always heard and how it meant everything to her at that moment

    If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.

    “Ok Tina..I’ll take you wherever you want to go” Bette replied calmly masking the heartbreak and utter devastation she was feeling.  She just hoped beyond hope that Tina would come back to her one day.  She just had to believe this wasn’t the end

    1. What a heartbreaking beginning, you had me in tears for both Bette and Tina.

      I can’t imagine what Bette felt and still feels after she let the love of her life go because Tina didn’t remember anything after her accident. I am glad Bette has such a amazing friend in Alice, a friend who i suppose literally saved her life.

      It’s hard to watch Tina with Eric again, she did have a flashback about Bette proposing to her, it’s something but i imagine this story will be a slow burn before they are back together again.

    2. This chapter was full of angst and yearning. My favorite kind of beginning… let the reunion begin!
      Agree with Bibi this will be a slow burn and I am here for it

    5. OMG this is so good. Love the premise!!!! I feel like the story could have been flushed some more. Feels like we got three chapters in one. I wonder whether that means you will wrap up this one in a few chapters, unlike your other stories?? I love everything you write. Always keep us craving for more.
