    They shook hands and smiled
    “I am pleased to meet you Mrs Porter “

    “Tina – please call me Rosemary – my – you are so like Emma “

    “My mother talks about you a lot “ Tina said looking the woman over. She was about the same height as Tina and wearing casual black slacks and a blue blouse. It was striking how pretty she was and how like Bette she looked – the same long dark hair, the same brown eyes and the same beaming smile.
    Tina resisted the urge to tell Rosemary how much like Bette she looked – that would be fatal and she wasn’t going to make that mistake.
    “What are you doing in the library ?” Rosemary asked
    “I haven’t been in here for years – not since I was a student. I was just sorting some things out this morning and found my old library card. I decided to pop in and see if it was still valid “
    “Oh I never miss the chance to bring a member back – lets get that card renewed “

    Rosemary led Tina to the front of the library and to the membership section – which was where Tina knew she would have come straight away if the card hadn’t been a ploy to accidentally meet Bette’s mom. Tina took her card out of her wallet plus a couple of proof of address and handed them over. Rosemary handed then to a younger man who was working behind the desk
    “Would you mind processing this for me Terry ?”

    “Not at all Mrs Porter “

    “Tina and I will be chatting over here “
    Rosemary lead Tina to a seated area and they sat down
    “I have really fond memories of this place “ Tina said in truth
    “Most people do – how is your mother – I haven’t seen her since she took us to dinner on Thursday – she and Melvin argued about some case most of the evening “

    2. 120 ch? Fantastic! Bring it on. We know you have it in you to write entertaining, brilliant, thought-out stories with many chapters to enjoy. I just say “The L Wing” with 328 chapters :-) Love it!

      This seems to be the week of multiple postings. I feel spoiled by you and all those other wonderful authors. Thanks for that!

      Now that Rosemary met Tina, she’ll be even more motivated to bring Bette and Tina together. I wonder what her new plan has to do with the library.
      It’s nice how comfortable Tina and Bette already are with each other. Meeting at Tina’s flat has potential for Emma dropping by unannounced.

      Looking forward for the next chapter.
