    Kate Arden has always prided herself on being a risk taker. Never one to shy away from difficult situations, she often disregarded her body’s natural survival instincts and ran after what she deemed as worthwhile challenges – or just plain trouble. Some might call her foolish and reckless, and oftentimes she would agree; but she couldn’t help it – she was motivated by blind courage, a character trait she inherited from her gutsy film visionary of a father. She got her fair share of disappointments and victories with the different risks she took in life, but through it all, she never had any regrets. You win some, you lose some, she’d always say. Although, she found her daredevil self in a pickle of sorts recently. For the first time in her life, Little Miss Kate was actually hesitating to do something she desperately wanted – defying all personal expectations, she was holding herself back and restraining her innermost whims. This had been going on for the past few weeks – ever since the day she struck up a friendship with an unattainable goddess by the name of Tina Kennard. An otherworldly being that, right at this moment, was sitting a few agonizing feet away from her. She’d been watching the beautiful blonde for an hour now as she sat on one of the tables below. In front of her, a cup of coffee and a plate of spaghetti lay forgotten – piping hot eons ago, they had now gone cold and unappetizing. Kate didn’t mind the waste, her food didn’t seem as enticing as the dish her eyes were busy feasting on. With a dreamy sigh, she propped her chin up with a hand and continued to stare. She always knew that girl was unreachable, but that fact was never rubbed this much on her face until now. The visual was striking. While she was here below like an unworthy mortal, the beautiful goddess was sitting all alone up above – tucked away in the safety of her private enclave at the second floor. With every passing minute, she could feel her resolve stretching too thin and ready to snap. She was only human after all, she could only take a certain amount of stress before her body crumbled. Kate reached her breaking point after an excruciating one hour and twelve minutes. Simply sitting quietly and watching had become too much, craving for more, she found herself slapping her napkin on the table, throwing caution in the wind, crossing a barrier and going up a flight of stairs to get closer to the woman who has her completely and utterly mesmerized beyond belief. “Are you always so studious?” She said softly, not wanting to scare the life out of the blonde.

    7. Second post, I know, I’m working on getting a life. I was reading JTG I and came across the incest part, and then thought about IC insulting our intelligence with TK’s interrogation scene. Just wanted to mention that, tah for now. LOL

    10. Actually, this was an awesome chapter. I was able to see a young, bright, beautiful woman come to terms with her former behavior. Bette is growing up and becoming a better person. I am with Alice, I am not too found of Kate and you are making me nervous. Who is this new person that Bette is going to meet?

    11. I was runnin’ way behind on this story and now I’m all caught up. I love this story but I see the drama on the horizon! Be careful…I have a fragile Tibette heart. LOL

    12. I miss NYC, with the people pushing and shoving. NOT!!!!!! I’m happy that Bette had a good therapy session. But, I am trying to accept Candace as a GOOD person. Still trying to picture it. Still trying…… Kate is going to cause trouble for Tina. I hope Alice keeps a close eye on Kate, just in case Tina gets into trouble. Great post. PPS

    15. Why do I have a bad feeling that Tina is going to catch Bette with Candace in the future.As for Kate, sure Bette will hate her… but she might play with her too. Kate could be a fun pet….That sounded better in my head.

Alch agin great chapter can’t stop laughing about what happened after ette “meeting”. Love the love these two are sharing. I ope Bett will hare her problem with Tina soon becuse I sure her upport will be great and help to Bette cure. PPVS

    18. I’m glad Bette’s getting therapy, and I hope she sticks with it, it’s clearly helping some. Kate = big trouble. I wonder if Bette will see right through the girl straight away, or will she be as oblivious as Tina is? …Nah. If her bff Sam has to maintain distance from Tina at all times outside of Bette’s supervision, I think Bette will hire a squadron of ninjas to keep Kate at bay. Great chapter, Alchemy, thanks!
