    It was beautiful. There was no better word to describe it. Hawaii, she smiled as realization hit.

     

    She grasped the letter next, excited to see what her romantic and terribly generous girlfriend had written for her.

     

    Clutching the necklace in one hand, she proceeded to read the note. The huge smile that was plastered on her face dwindled down into a frown. All of a sudden, she felt the floor disappearing beneath her. A cold chill went up her spine and made her shiver. She read and re-read the letter, but only one thing stuck:

     

    I’ve left for Yale.

    Four simple words that knocked the wind out of her lungs and slashed her heart out into a million pieces. For what seemed like an eternity, when in actuality it was only a few seconds, she sat frozen in place – clutching the letter in one hand and the necklace in the other. She didn’t even realize that she was crying. She only noticed it when she couldn’t see her surroundings anymore. Wiping away the tears that were cascading freely down her face, she took a deep breath and read the letter again.

     

    Left.

     

    Yale.

     

    So sorry.

     

    Goodbye.

     

    Eternity.

     

    Those words swam before her eyes as her brain struggled to process what had just happened. Bette had left. And she felt like an idiot. Here she was, thinking all along that they had more time to spend together. That they had a few more weeks before they had to say those first painful goodbyes. Hell, they even made plans to go to the beach this morning. She was going to confess a lot of things to Bette today, say the thoughts that had been nagging inside her brain and the feelings that were eating her up from within. She should have told her about them last night – but she didn’t. Cause she thought that they still had tomorrow, and tomorrow was a good time as ever. But she should have known better. She should have known that ever since the day that she convinced Bette to leave for Yale, time was no longer on their side. It was fading fast – and now it seems, it has completely ran out.

Every chapter that I have read has made me laugh(hysterically at times)and cry (sobbing at some points) and actually feeling the heartbreak between those two! Tina running after a plane? OMG … Yes I am sorry to see you leave us for a bit but I hope You are planning the sequel!!     5. oh alchemy – i have llooooovvvvvveeeeed this story so much! How you wrote this couple was brilliant…especially Bette! the humour and F4, well it’s just been one of my favourite stories ever! I’m so pleased how this last chapter played out, all along it’s been Bette who’s made the sacrifices and done anything to please Tina but this was all Tina making things right and getting them back together, permanently! Please don’t stay away from these boards for long and let me join in with everyone else and pray for the sequel! Thanks for the brilliant story Alc!!

    7. WOW. Im giving you a well rounded applause as of this writing :) Alchemy thank you for this story. Its been 55 Chapters of roller coaster ride. You are an amazing writer and though its saddening that JTG is ending, there is a flicker of hope because its not really the end. Will be awaiting for whats next.

    8. This story was the best..I’m sad to see it end. I loved watching Bette grow with Tina’s help and love along the way. A sequel would be great.Forgetting these two and their group will be hard.
