    Just then, a noise from outside caught her attention. She stopped her pacing and peeked out the window. A black, heavily tinted SUV was pulling out of its parked spot by the curb. Elegant and imposing, it seemed out of place in the company of the old and broken down cars that littered the street. The expensive vehicle seemed awfully familiar, the sight overwhelming her with a strong sense of deja vu. James, she thought. It was just like the one they rode in a few weeks back when James picked them up for dinner at the estate..

     

    Tina’s eyes went wide as it dawned on her. Holy shit! That was her!

     

    And just like that, she remembered the phone by her ear and the message that she has yet to leave.

     

    “No! Come back..” She whispered into the receiver as she remained in place, transfixed at the sight of the car moving farther and farther away from the apartment building – from her. “Come back..” She repeated more forcefully, yet also infinitely more sadly then before. Deep inside, she knew she couldn’t hear her. Maybe she wouldn’t even listen to her voicemail. But she had to try. “Porter, come..”

     

    And then, it was gone. Disappearing before her eyes as the SUV turned for the main road. She heard a distinctive beep beside her ear, telling her that the time to leave a message had ran out.

     

    Time had ran out.

     

    How ironic.

     

    And sad.

     

    “No!” She shouted suddenly into the empty room.

     

    Like a woman possessed, she ran for the car keys that Bette had left behind, took a hold of her purse and made a mad dash for the front door. Who cares if her driving skills rivaled that of a seven year old on bumper cars, there was no way she was going to let Bette leave just like that. No fucking way. She was passing by the kitchen on her way out when she chanced upon her reflection on the oven toaster. Tina had to do a double take. When that wasn’t enough, she looked down at her body.

     

    Holy effin’ shit, she was naked!

     

    So that’s why I was feeling cold! She wanted to smack herself at the back of the head. Clothes! She ran back to the bedroom and put on some underwear and a clean pair of jeans and a tank top. Bette’s clothes. And to add to her heartache, they all smelled like her. She would have cried again but there was no place for tears right now. There even was no time to brush her hair or take a well-deserved shower. For once, hygiene had to take a back seat. She had more important things at hand. So with tousled blonde locks and a disheveled yet determined look on her face, she ran out of the apartment in a huff, ready to run after the love of her life.

Every chapter that I have read has made me laugh(hysterically at times)and cry (sobbing at some points) and actually feeling the heartbreak between those two! Tina running after a plane? OMG … Yes I am sorry to see you leave us for a bit but I hope You are planning the sequel!!     5. oh alchemy – i have llooooovvvvvveeeeed this story so much! How you wrote this couple was brilliant…especially Bette! the humour and F4, well it’s just been one of my favourite stories ever! I’m so pleased how this last chapter played out, all along it’s been Bette who’s made the sacrifices and done anything to please Tina but this was all Tina making things right and getting them back together, permanently! Please don’t stay away from these boards for long and let me join in with everyone else and pray for the sequel! Thanks for the brilliant story Alc!!

    7. WOW. Im giving you a well rounded applause as of this writing :) Alchemy thank you for this story. Its been 55 Chapters of roller coaster ride. You are an amazing writer and though its saddening that JTG is ending, there is a flicker of hope because its not really the end. Will be awaiting for whats next.

    8. This story was the best..I’m sad to see it end. I loved watching Bette grow with Tina’s help and love along the way. A sequel would be great.Forgetting these two and their group will be hard.

I know i am very late to reading this story.Someone pointed me towards it.I have to say its the best fan fiction i have read.It’s been brilliantly funny having me laugh out loud and so sad at Ch54 it had me in tears but thankfully they are going to be together.I’m told there is a sequel so i am gonna go look for it.Thankyou once again it was brilliant
