    She had always thought that when the time came for them to part, she would have to be the stronger one. Cause Bette, her beloved one with all of her clingy tendencies, would put up a good fight and try to wiggle her way out of leaving. Tina had conjured up different scenarios in her mind in case that happened. She even imagined what she would say to Bette to convince the girl to go.

     

    But now, those speeches seem futile. Those plans useless. Cause Bette did it. She really did it. She left.

     

    And Tina was at a loss.

     

    She didn’t know if she should be proud of Bette’s strength or be heartbroken by it.

     

    And judging from the tears that she shed, the way her hands were shaking and the subsequent tightening of her chest, one would say that she was leaning towards the latter.

     

    When she felt her world stop spinning and the bed reappearing beneath her, she grabbed her phone from the nightstand and hit speed dial one. Her heart was pounding with every ring – and it sank to the pit of her stomach when Bette didn’t pick up and the call went straight into voicemail.

     

    Dammit Porter. Tina cursed inwardly and disconnected the call. She hit the redial button and waited with baited breath, hoping that her stubborn girlfriend would answer this time around. Unfortunately for her, however, there was no ringing this time. Probably still too chicken to talk to her, Bette had switched off her mobile so her call was immediately redirected to voicemail.

     

    She stood up from the bed and paced the length of the bedroom, listening to Bette’s voice as she told her that she was currently unavailable and that she should leave a message instead. Fine, Tina sniffled angrily, that’s what she would do then.

     

    But what would she say?

     

    Something appropriate, something direct, something like..

     

    Porter, you big ass coward, I’m gonna kill you!

     

    Yeah, that was it.

     

    “Porter, you big ass coward, I’m..” She hissed into the receiver, venom dripping in her tone. To up and just leave without even telling her – or even a measly goodbye face-to-face? Ooh, she was really going to kill her. And damn, she had every intention of telling her just that. “I’m..” She repeated but then choked on her threat. Odd how her throat seemed to close up. Say it Kennard. Say it. “I’m..” She attempted once more but her voice started to crack. Dammit.

Every chapter that I have read has made me laugh(hysterically at times)and cry (sobbing at some points) and actually feeling the heartbreak between those two! Tina running after a plane? OMG … Yes I am sorry to see you leave us for a bit but I hope You are planning the sequel!!     5. oh alchemy – i have llooooovvvvvveeeeed this story so much! How you wrote this couple was brilliant…especially Bette! the humour and F4, well it’s just been one of my favourite stories ever! I’m so pleased how this last chapter played out, all along it’s been Bette who’s made the sacrifices and done anything to please Tina but this was all Tina making things right and getting them back together, permanently! Please don’t stay away from these boards for long and let me join in with everyone else and pray for the sequel! Thanks for the brilliant story Alc!!

    7. WOW. Im giving you a well rounded applause as of this writing :) Alchemy thank you for this story. Its been 55 Chapters of roller coaster ride. You are an amazing writer and though its saddening that JTG is ending, there is a flicker of hope because its not really the end. Will be awaiting for whats next.

    8. This story was the best..I’m sad to see it end. I loved watching Bette grow with Tina’s help and love along the way. A sequel would be great.Forgetting these two and their group will be hard.

I know i am very late to reading this story.Someone pointed me towards it.I have to say its the best fan fiction i have read.It’s been brilliantly funny having me laugh out loud and so sad at Ch54 it had me in tears but thankfully they are going to be together.I’m told there is a sequel so i am gonna go look for it.Thankyou once again it was brilliant
