Love in Control – Chapter VIII – Will You Marry Me?
Jade swung her gaze back to Rian. She couldn’t help the smile that crossed her face. “Of course we are, Ri. I thought that that’s what you were thinking of, too? Going back to the hotel?”
In her heels, Rian was not quite eye-to-eye with Jade but she was tall enough to lean closer to her lover’s ear easily without having to stand on her tip-toes. She whispered into the blonde’s ear, “Of course I was thinking about that, too, you horndog.”
She snaked an arm around Jade’s waist, as she drew back, lips lifted into a Nikki-style teasing smile. Jade couldn’t resist responding with a lingering kiss.
Brom coughed drily as the kiss wore on; Morgan linked her arm around his as they looked on with smiles on their faces.
They are such a sweet couple, Morgan was thinking.
Just like Bette and Tina, Brom was thinking.
The two onlookers each felt their phones vibrate.
Well? From Tina to Morgan.
Morgan texted back. They’re heading back to their hotel room.
From Bette to Brom at the same time: We’re regrouping. Aerin’s penthouse, a few blocks away from here.
Brom texted Bette back. Roger that. Hyacinthe?
Jules and Diane are getting her from Penn Station, then taking her to Aerin’s. Hyacinthe doesn’t know, ok? It’s a surprise for her, too.
Got it.

“So why did we play that game?
Rian spun around and, even in the dim light saw jade-green eyes boring into hers. She said nothing in response, and slowly circled the small table between them, swaying her hips to the beat of the music pulsing out of the room’s music system. Dig if you will the picture …of you and I engaged in a kiss … the sweat of your body covers me … can you my darling … can you picture this?
“You complaining?” she asked huskily, instead.
Jade took a seat on the couch and stretched her arms out on top of the couch. “No, not complaining. But you seemed …”
“Into it?”
“Excited by it.”
“I was.”
“Bordering on…”
“Stirring?”
“Titillating.”
Rian got to the couch and sat next to Jade, laying her chin on one muscled shoulder, overcome suddenly by the intensity of love and protectiveness that she saw in those eyes. She tenderly brushed the handsome jawline that still gave her the shivers, as she moved closer until she felt her lover’s ragged breathing on her lips. She whispered as she repeatedly brushed those naturally reddish lips with her own, “You make me feel sexier than I really am, baby … having you watch and want me from afar is an unbelievable charge, let me tell you …”

Nice, enjoyed it especially Tina and Bette in the beginning
I agree the beginning was a laugh with Bette and Tina????
Love it! loved the homage to his #purple majesty Prince!….”when doves cry…”great way to start the day! My thanks!
Oh, that was absolute worth the long wait!
Fantastic and sexy chapter, wouldn’t mind if you write more B&T in your story.
But Rian and Jade captured my heart, they are a great couple.
Thanks for the update!
You can be sure that yes, it was worth the wait
for another fantastic chapter!
My heart always Tibette, however Jade and Rian captivated me.
The whole universe
I’m with all the above especially wkm and Dee22 Tibette always.
Worth the wait, thanks.
Hello everyone. Thanks for taking the time to comment. A few caveats: the story arc for “Love In Control” will not have much Bette/Tina romance, although there will be occasional scenes. Their story is evolving in this book — the evolution will see them in a family unit, rather than as a couple. This particular arc started with scenes in earlier chapters, and will be more central in the next chapters. I think I’ve gone over their romance (exhaustively) in the other books already, anyway, and I really don’t have much more to say about “Tibette” than what I’ve already written in the other books.
I sense that it’s time that they evolve and mature in my stories, as characters, otherwise, their story arc will not make much sense if they remain struck in TiBette-land (at least in my storyline). To be perfectly honest, an evolving, maturing Bette/Tina, in the way I’ve been writing about them, is infinitely more interesting for me to write. I can sense them growing, and it seems to be as part of a family unit: this evolution is more authentic and important in this book than “TiBette.” it’s the other couples, in the meantime, who will be developing their own romances.
In the end this book is about a few kinds of love, what they mean, etc., but make no mistake the evolving Bette/Tina take on love remains the central/anchoring one for this book, particularly as things take a turn in the next chapters.
i may disappoint many of the readers who take the time to click through the pages of this story … I hope they will understand that I really can’t write a story if it’s not something I believe in or can stand behind, or would even want to read myself. I have moved on, and have explored the limits of that particular time in their lives through several books already, and so have the Bette and Tina characters in my storylines. They are different now from who they were in the TiBette version of the earlier books from who they seem to be growing into —
maybe I should re-classify this book to another fandom, different from “L Word” even if Bette and Tina and their family are central characters?
I seem to be raising expectations by slotting this book under “L Word.” And that’s not fair to you, the readers.
While Bette and Tina originally attracted me to your writing, your Jade/Rain and Aerin/Harley characters have captivated me. Their unexplored characters are ripe with endless plot lines. Don’t apologize for the lack of TiBette romance, as your other characters and your writing are rich enough to sustain my appetite for a romantic escape.
