”What did what’s her face do when all that stuff went down?”
Tina shook her head, her hazel eyes slowly glossing over with the embarrassment she felt. ”Nothing. She just looked at me like she felt sorry for me or something. Oh God, I’m never talking to another girl ever again”
With that, Tina resumed her earlier position on the table and buried her face in her arms.
”Aww Tina” Carmen leaned forward in an attempt to comfort her saddened friend, ”Forger her. There’s plenty of other fish in the sea”
”What if I don’t want a fish?” Tina sat back once more, ”I want a mermaid. Brenda was a mermaid”
Carmen laughed, ”Okay, so we’ll get you a mermaid. You just have to-shit!”
Tina’s eyebrows knitted together in confusion, ”I don’t have to go though”
Carmen shook her head, ”Look behind you”
Tina glanced over her shoulder to see Bette and Shane approaching their table. Her eyes widened before she whipped around to face her friend, ”Shit!”
”What do I do?” Carmen whispered fiercely as she leaned over the table close to Tina, ”How do I look?”
Tina leaned in as well, ”Just be cool. You look great”
”Are you sure?” Carmen asked, ”I don’t even know what to say”
Tina couldn’t help but smile. She had never seen her confident friend so shy before, ”Trust me. Shane is gonna be-”
”Are we interrupting something?”
Tina stopped mid-sentence at the sound of Bette’s voice before straightening up in her seat so that she could turn around.
There was a teasing smirk on the brunette’s face as she made eye contact with Tina, ”We could always come back”
Her arms had been crossed over her chest, creating the most delectable cleavage that Tina didn’t dare let herself enjoy. She saw it out of the corner of her eye and that tiny bit of view had her fighting to keep her eyes from drifting.
Tina returned the smirk before her eyes left Bette’s and locked with Shane’s, ”Hi Shane”
”Hey Tina” Shane smiled and wrapped her arms around the blonde who stood up to hug her, ”It’s been a while”
”It has been” Tina squeezed her old friend before pulling back to admire the young lothario, ”You look good”

Poor Bette! Falling so hard for Tina and not be able to hide it proper.
I hope and pray that Brenda will not be Tina’s first experience in intimate way, but maybe she needs it before she admits to herself that Bette is her one and only true love.
But that is my wish as a Tibette fan;-)

And discovering this one before I’ll savour your last posts of your magnificent When You Least Expect It, I cannot help but feeling awfully sad and frustrated since you obviously let it down 4 years ago,,, Could I dare to place my very best pout – if only I was Bette for one minute, it could help ! – to ask you to really, seriously think about writing more of it ?
