”So do you” Shane replied as she held the blonde at arm’s length, her eyes roaming over Tina’s body in a way that earned an amused look from Bette. ”What brings you here? Not that I’m not happy to see you”
Tina shrugged a single shoulder, ”Figured it was time to show my favorite band some love” She heard the sound of someone clearing their throat behind her and automatically knew who was responsible. She angled her body to begin the introductions, ”These are my friends. This is Nadia and Carmen”
Shane nodded politely at Nadia before locking eyes with Carmen, an instant smile spreading across her face. She walked over without a word as both Bette and Tina watched the brunette take a seat beside the excited Latina.
”Is this seat taken?” Bette asked as she pointed to the empty seat beside Tina, ”Or are you saving it for someone special?”
Tina shook her head, ”Not at the moment but when they come I’ll just ask you to vacate the seat”
Bette laughed and pulled the chair out to sit, spinning it around before straddling it.
She folded her arms on top of the back of the chair as she smiled at Tina, ”So, how was school?”
It was the first thing that came to mind and Bette immediately regretted her words for the awkwardness that followed them. She stared at Tina for what seemed like a lifetime before they both burst out laughing.
”Sorry that was weird” Bette shook her head, her voice still shaky from laughter. ”Why did I say that?”
Tina smiled and shrugged, ”You tell me. I thought Bette Porter was supposed to be a smooth talker”
Bette smirked, ”I usually am but sometimes I can be a little off my game. Especially when I have someone beautiful distracting me”
Tina let out a breath of laughter and glanced down at her hands, shaking her head as she looked up to meet Bette’s eyes once more. She wasn’t oblivious to the brunette’s flirting but Tina remained unaffected by her charm. Bette flirted with everyone, a fact that Tina knew all too well and considering the type of relationship they had, the blonde knew it was nothing more than friendly banter.

Poor Bette! Falling so hard for Tina and not be able to hide it proper.
I hope and pray that Brenda will not be Tina’s first experience in intimate way, but maybe she needs it before she admits to herself that Bette is her one and only true love.
But that is my wish as a Tibette fan;-)

Thanks for continuing with this story! Can’t wait to see what you have in mind for Tina and – hopefully for all of us TiBette fans – for Bette. I’m not so sure how I feel about Brenda getting too close to Tina though. But, hey, it’s your story! So lead the way… I hope to read more soon :)

And discovering this one before I’ll savour your last posts of your magnificent When You Least Expect It, I cannot help but feeling awfully sad and frustrated since you obviously let it down 4 years ago,,, Could I dare to place my very best pout – if only I was Bette for one minute, it could help ! – to ask you to really, seriously think about writing more of it ? I simply love the way you placed our dearest two in this original story and, believe me, I’ll try to convince you again and again ! You have a great, great story here :-)
