    Tina’s eyes fell to the floor with shame, hating that she had caused Bette that type of pain.

    “Is she here?” Emma asked and caused Tina’s eyes to snap up to meet her own with a panic that thankfully went unnoticed, “I mean in town. Could that be why Bette is not herself? Maybe she ran into the girl somewhere and it stirred up some bad feelings”

    Tina opened her mouth to reply even though she had absolutely no idea what to say. Thankfully she wasn’t given the chance to say anything. A loud banging on the door interrupted their conversation.

    “Is anyone in there?! I really need to pee!”

    “Go to the men’s!” Emma shouted back with a roll of her eyes, feeling satisfied when she heard no protest from whoever was on the other side of the door. She looked to Tina before sighing with exasperation, “Guess I better get back out there. It is my party after all. Love the outfit by the way”

    The compliment was genuine and Tina couldn’t help the soft smile that graced her face before repaying one in kind. How she hated that she couldn’t bring herself to hate Emma.

    “Good luck with the vultures” Tina called out before her thoughts could get the better of her, pangs of guilt already souring her mood.

    “Thanks” Emma chuckled as she pushed off the sink and made her way toward the door, “If only I had thought to wear a mask too. Might have stood a chance against the paparazzi”

    Tina bit her lip in thought for a moment, an idea coming to mind a second later. She called out to Emma, stopping the temporary blonde in her tracks.

    She spun around and reached behind her to point at the zipper running down the middle of her dress.

    “Help me out of this”

    Bette leaned against a wall a fair distance away from the bathroom as she busied herself with hypothetical conversations she could possibly have with Tina.

    Having noticed the blonde enter the facility, Bette had approached the room with intent to follow her inside before deciding against it and retreated to her current spot instead. She hadn’t a clue what she would do or say to Tina so Bette figured that working out that little detail first would be ideal. The last thing she wanted was to make the situation worse or end up making herself look like a fool.

Ok this is by far my favorite story lol.. there so much going on and strong love that just can’t catch a break… and Emma has to be the most blind person I know.. how all this time she hasn’t figured out Tina is the ex and Bette loves her.. lol. She forget the costume she has on is not her own and taste Bette breath to know there is no way in hell she could have known it was her. She is so freaking shallow and you dont love Bette she dont fit in to your world at all. Lol love love love your story. thank you.

    8. I was reading this chapter again and realized I didn’t end up leaving a comment the first time so I had to say just how much I am absolutely LOVING this story!

      I knew there was gonna be a good old switch as soon as they were alone in that bathroom but reading it through was better than I could have imagined!

      Poor Bette, she’s not gonna get out of this one that easy. Thanks for continuing this story and please please post soon!

      Hope you’ve got the new chapter just about ready to go!! You are super talented and I was floored by the fact that some of the lines you used in this story were actually used in GenQ before it even aired (“no, *you* need space”). Keep up the good work and looking forward to more!

    18. Ahhhh oh my god. I hope she can tell Tina and Alice tells Tina Bette was going to her I hope she understands that Bette wouldn’t do that with Emma. But ahhhh I can’t wait for the next chapter. Oh I really hope you will continue this fic but I hope Tina will understand that it was the mask change that threw her off and they can finally finally just be together. Ahhh I can’t not have this story unfinished please continue
