“Wait, maybe you should take sometime to think for yourself before you talk with her.”

I stop at the door and turn to look at her once more before shutting it behind me.

I listened to Bette and had decided to take sometime to myself by wandering the resort.

I approach my hotel room door and open it.

I see no sign of Danielle, until I step towards the patio doors. I notice her sitting on one of the patio chairs.

I carry myself onto the patio to come in view with her.

”Shouldn’t we talk about this.” I suggest.

”I feel like I already know your true opinion, Tina.”

”I never meant it as if I wanted you to leave.”

”But you gave me the option.”

”I feel like we need to get our shit figured out.”

”The only shit to figure out here is if I should take this offer or not.”

”I know this is difficult, I understand that. I do. But there comes a point when you start to favour one over the other.”

”I was not favouring those phone calls over you. I was simply trying to keep the job for my final decision.”

”I wish I could make this easier for you, by packing up and coming with you but I can’t.” I sigh. ”I just want you to make sure when your decision is final, that it is what you truly want. So, I’m sorry if I’ve been greedy with wanting you to pay more attention to me instead of the phone calls.”

”But it is like I told you, how am I suppose to make a decision when I can only focus on one.”

”You told me your offer starts a week after we get back from the trip, since this trip is just me, you, and my friends. I thought that maybe I could be your focus and once we get back, the job offer could be your focus, then you could choose.”

”It is hard to keep this offer, if I ignore every possible call.”

I watch as Danielle stands to her feet and walks away.

”Fine, just leave.” I say aloud.
