    “Let’s go grab something because I’m also very hungry.” … “I want to thank everyone for being here tonight to celebrate our engagement.” Alice says as she stands in front of the rolls of tables that circle around the room. “You guys really know how to make us feel very special.” Alice begins to shed

    “I want to thank everyone for being here tonight to celebrate our engagement.” Alice says as she stands in front of the rolls of tables that circle around the room. “You guys really know how to make us feel very special.” Alice begins to shed tears. “And of course bring tears to my eyes.”

    We all let out chuckles before clapping our hands as we smile.

    As the night passes I notice Tina has disappeared. I look around but I can’t seem to point her out in the crowd.

    I check my phone to see a text from her.

    -“I took Angie back to her room, she was feeling tired.”  

    I place my phone back into my purse and look around for Rachel. I notice her sitting at a table with Helena and Kit deep into conversation.

    I decide to wander into the hotel lobby in search of her return.

    I step out with my drink and slowly look around as I get distracted by some art that hangs along the walls.

    “Hey Bette.”

    I turn to see her standing there.

    “I didn’t know if you were coming back.” I smile.

    “Angie was feeling pretty tired so I walked her back.”

    “You look beautiful tonight, T.”

    “And so do you.” She smiles at me.

    “They’ve got a pretty amazing party going on in there, I must admit.” I take a sip from my drink and chuckle.

    “Well when you have Peggy Peabody’s money, you would.”

    I laugh and move closer towards her.

    Our bodies pull towards each other like magnets.

    Our attraction comes to a halt when we hear footsteps approaching.

    “Tina.”

    I see her facial expression change to form a dark cloud.

    I turn my head towards the voice to see Danielle standing in the entrance of the main lobby.

    “What the hell are you doing here?” I approach her with anger in my voice.

    “Again hello to you too, Bette.” Danielle says placing her bag on the ground beside her. “Isn’t it obvious?”

    I turn to look at Tina but her body turns and heads down the hall.

    “You don’t just get to leave with a bullshit note written out of the blue, for her to find. To return whenever you feel like it. She was clearly upset when you up and left her and she was just starting to get back to herself without you. You should have better common sense to show your face back here with all of her friends and family here.”

      Just read the the chapter. How stupid is Danielle to expect Tina to forgive her after the way she treated her.?! She fucked up big time and she needs to go…

      Rachel, what can i say? She overheard a conversation and decide that Bette must be hurt by sleeping with Shane. They were both wrong to do that and saying it was under influence of drugs and alcohol, no excuse.

      But Bette is wrong too to sleep with Tina before breaking up with Rachel, but i am a diehard Tibette fan and happy they will try to fix their relationship.

      Looking forward to the next chapter!!!

    8. I think this story was very good. Nice introduction of new characters Danielle and Rachel. Danielle even though in her late thirties seems to be a bit immature or really a narcisitic personality. If she had been smart, she would have sat down with Tina and given her a complete picture of the job process would be and the time frame expected. If she was going to have to be on the phone for business purposes, then she should have explained that to Tina in terms of why, how often, how much time would be involved. Who wants to be on vacation with a lover who is using the phone frequently and trying to hide that use after they have indicated that they would not use the phone. Of course it was easily predictable that Danielle would not stay in Tina’s bed for long. I enjoyed the story…
