    Bette waited a minute, loving the feel of Tina’s cheek on her palm and watching her carefully. “Qualms?” she asked quietly, not wanting to break the mood but knowing Tina had something on her mind tonight.

    “Yes.” Tina opened her eyes but kept her cheek in Bette’s palm. “Doubts. Misgivings. Hesitations…for example, do we really want to pursue what could be the end of Jodie’s career? Do I…” she moved even closer, taking Bette’s hand from her cheek and placing it on her heart, above her breast, her own hand staying to cover Bette’s. “Do I really care what happens to Jodie now? I have you. There is nothing else I need…I have my wife, my best friend, my world…my personal chef” she smiled softly, arching one eyebrow.

    “Oh” Bette swallowed. “Those kind of qualms…” she chuckled and moved her hand down to cup her wife’s breast over her t-shirt. Tina was wearing the Yale t-shirt that was actually Bette’s, but one that Bette never wore anymore because it was so undeniably Tina’s.

    When they had separated, Tina had left the Yale shirt crumpled in the laundry bin and for some reason seeing it tossed in with the dirty clothes had made Bette cry for weeks. Weeks, sometimes in the middle of the day even. Bette had slept with it on her pillow. Then later, when it seemed like she should be moving on… she put her under her pillow. It smelled like Tina, she had vivid memories of taking it off Tina, or using it to pull Tina to her. Tina, above her in the shirt and nothing else riding her fingers… in the kitchen on a Saturday morning making coffee, naked underneath… Tina pulling it off herself in one fluid, smooth move…

    She could feel Tina’s nipple harden through her shirt …her thumb slowly, leisurely traced circles over her shirt as they talked. Fuck she is not wearing a bra she thought. Lazy circles that made Tina arch her back slightly and lean in. I can’t keep my hands off her, Bette thought. She feels so good, looks so sexy. She could feel her nipple through her shirt … it was getting hard…harder.

      I so agree with the other readers that You DEFINITELY have a wonderful way of explaining the word “intimacy”. I especially like how you’ve reminded us that it comes in levels and stages as our trust is released..

      • This comment cracked me up. I am finding it challenging writing the dialogue which is why you dont see me write multiple characters at once but I cant avoid it forever….

This is really a hot chapter…..amazing that they made it through dinner… This is the Bette and Tina I imagined when the series finished 10 years ago. Actually this Bette and Tina are a bit more mature and closer in their relationship than they have ever been. Great writing….

      • this story answers so many questions that were left danglng in the show. B&T were really connected in season 6 and whewn B asked T to marry her we was like “Oh yeah baby, finally”!!!

        Anyway, I loved that Bette confronted Tina how she (Tina) wasn’t trusting her to choose Tina over work. Bette really made monumental changes in how she approached her fears & insecurities. It was time for Tina to examine her responses too. And she did. She quickly apologised to Bette and sought forgiveness

      Was just thinking about how marvelous it’s been to have your screenplay featuring our Tibette, and I’m really trying to imagine how you will fill in the blanks on Tina’s childhood. Will be interesting to learn whether or not Tee has siblings in your story and whether or not an Angelica is in the future.

      • Interesting idea Dumplin! I honestly didnt expect this story to go nine chapters but the words are still making their way to the page so I will keep writing. Tina is complicated, exploring her childhood and family might be a good segway to understanding her.
        Out of curiousity, dont most stories on here have her with a sister?
