Jodie: “it’s already noon, why don’t we have lunch, there is a new place very close, the food is great”

The three women hop in Jodie’s car driving toward a close commercial center, Jodie was commenting about the kidnapping of Kelly and Jenny, remembering the details preceding the event.

Jodie: “things were very strange, I don’t know Bette, but I have the feeling that there is something else”

Bette: “what do you mean?”

They were almost at the restaurant when Jodie absorbed in her thoughts stopped talking.

Bette: “Jodie…, Jodie, what’s wrong?”

Jodie: “shit…, I didn’t think about that…, we have to talk, let’s order food while I tell you what I know”

Bette and Tasha followed Jodie glancing to the other, Jodie asked the waiter for a quiet and isolated table, the three women order their meals and Jodie start telling them about the conversation with Kelly, about Mr. William Wentworth few days before the national meeting in Manhattan, how the man was obsessed with her friend at the point to menace to remove big part of the federal funding to the institute if she didn’t agree to talk to him. Tasha was now very interested in that information, that was something they didn’t know when she was working with NYPD weeks ago.

Bette: “So they met and talked”

Jodie: “yes, in Kelly’s office”

Bette: “did she tell you how it went?”

Jodie: “apparently Wentworth was disappointed and humiliated, but Kelly made sure to change man’s mind about blocking the funding for the institute”

Tasha: “and how she did?”
