Side Effects Chapter 9 – FACING EVIL

Sharon: “nooo…, I oppose that, you already destroyed her…, you are a monster Howard, they are my children not yours”
Howard: “they are mine too…, I have the right and the obligation to help them”
Sharon: “no…, you lost all your rights when you disowned them, when you rejected them, you abandoned them…, and now it’s worse, you violated Dana’s freedom, her health, you destroyed her life…, even if she recovers from this state, I doubt she will be the same happy girl, excellent athlete, smart person she was before…, you failed her, hurt her, ruined her… ”
Howard felt defeated but his pride was wounded and he reacted as always did, hitting his wife and shouting at her.
Howard: “you bitch, you are responsible for their deviations, you didn’t raise them right…, if they are defective is because of you, they inherited that from your family…”
Sharon touches the blood on her lips due to the slap from her husband, and for the first time in her life she took his hot coffee cup and throws the scorching liquid on his face leaving a red mark, the man tries to attack her, but she took a silver letter-opener and pointed to him.
Sharon: “don’t touch me or I hurt you”
Howard: “you are sick and delusional”
Sharon: “and you are an evil monster”
Sharon was shocked to find out that her missing daughter had been kidnapped with the complicity of her own father; now her little girl is very sick and traumatized; she has to do something to help her daughter.
Boston, Ma, Monday, 5:00 p.m.
The last four days have been like the old days for Bette and Tina; they are again sleeping together, barely containing their urges in front of the others, especially during the daily meetings to inform the progress of the team on the treatment of the patients at the Massachusetts General Hospital. With the exception of Dan Foxworthy, who has been six hours each day, the rest of the team have increased their time there from three hours, before they stopped going to Genetics lab, to four or five hours now; they usually take samples to study the progress of the treatment and according to the partial results they try some other combinations of biological fluids and chemicals, looking for the total recovery of the patients. Because of the impossibility of using Genetics lab, they are performing few experiments in the former lab of the hospital located in the basement of the building, which has been equipped with the basic instruments and tools for their research.

Hi SG:
I’m sorry, I knew you don’t like cliffhangers, but I left a cryptic message in FB and twitter for those like you who don’t like them, and is also in my author note.
But, anyway, apparently, I will have a little more time next week and I will try to post soon (I hope).
Thanks for reading and commenting.

Hi,
I know I read your notes, didn’t help me to deal with the Cliffhanger :-)
Well a week has passed, is the next post about to appear:-)
Look forward to letting go of this cliff sometime soon!
SG
Be patient, the first word in the next chapter. Almost ready.
P
Oh my God those Cliffhangers again!
You know you have to update this week!
Great story proteonomics!
Hi Bibi:
Thanks for your comment, I’ll try to update soon.
However, the ‘clue’ to solving the cliffhanger, is in those last two chapters. Then you may have an idea of what is coming in the next chapter.
The cliffhanger is the reason why this chapter is a bit longer than the former ones because I wanted to reach this point. Now, I’m feeling a little guilty.
Thank you so much, my friend, for your last words, and I’ll try my best to post soon.
