Slow Simmer
As if Tina could read her mind she inched even closer to Bette, moving her thigh between Bette’s legs. She could hear Bette’s staggered breathing, and the delicate voice, “I can’t.”
Tina looked deep into the sad chocolate eyes, shaking her head along with Bette’s. She rested her fingers on the bare chest visible under the low cut pajama top.
“Tina, I…can’t…” Bette could barely speak, her words imbued in melancholy. She placed her hand over Tina’s. “You broke me. Right here.”
Tina frowned, hating how she had hurt Bette. She drew a heart on her ex’s skin, keeping her hand under Bette’s, sensing the physical reaction between them. Tina could feel the pulsing beat under her fingertips, a steady rhythm. “And yet the beat goes on…”
Tina looked up letting her lips brush against Bette’s with the words “I’m sorry.” She nuzzled her nose to Bette’s, taking her other hand in hers.
Bette finally met Tina’s gaze. Her hazel eyes searing a hole in Bette’s resolve. Bette brought her free hand behind Tina’s head and tangled her fingers in the blonde locks.
“I really like your hair like this. It reminds me of before we had Angie.”
Tina smiled sweetly, basking in the attention she had been so yearning for from her ex-wife. Her mouth still hovering over Bette’s.
“Bette.”
“Yea?”
“I’m going to kiss you now.”
Bette could only exhale Tina’s name in a barely audible sigh. In that moment she was consumed by her. Her senses overwhelmed by everything Tina was and how they used to be. She could feel the ghosts of their past caressing her before this Tina fulfilled the apparition.
Tina teased her lips over Bette’s. They tilted their heads, maneuvering their mouths around the other’s before letting each other in. Tina brought her hand up to Bette’s chin, her fingers tracing the strong jawline. Bette’s hand stayed in Tina’s hair. They kissed gently, a contented moan escaping from Tina’s chest. Bette deepened their kiss, a kiss Bette never thought she’d experience again. She wanted to savor every taste, inhale every breath, feel every flicker of Tina against her.
Both women passionately eager to make up for the years gone by, Tina’s hand moved under the pajama top to Bette’s waist, pulling her closer against her. They slouched down to the steps, Tina holding her body over Bette’s. Bette didn’t stop kissing her as she moved her hands over Tina’s blouse and started to unbutton the top buttons.

This is a good story…. however, I think that Tina is a royal bitch. Sorry… what was the purpose of that? Sex for old time sakes? Seduce Bette? Then walk out the door to go meet with Carrie and carry on with the marriage plans? I find this Tina to be rather sadistic at best. She is being cruel and heartless to have announced her marriage, seduce Bette and leave her with a “I’ll always love you.”
Oh, and it is not Bette’s role in life to determine whether Tina is happy or not. It is a presumption that all people make the choices in their life for their own benefit and happiness. If Tina has agreed to marry Carrie, its because she wants to marry Carrie and believes it will result in happiness in her life. If that is not Tina’s belief then she is the one who needs to make another decision and take the actions that will make her happy. Tina is a grown woman – she choose to leave Bette, She agreed to marry Carrie and now she is using Bette apparently for her own physical pleasure for whatever reason. This is cruel for all those involved…. not good Tina…. Not good at all.
Thanks for the chapter…
I’m glad it wasn’t just me who felt the same way at the end of this story. My heart fell with sadness for Bette at being used by Tina.
After that i wouldn’t want to fight for Tine after that cruelty.
Damn!!! Tina seduces Bette AFTER telling her THE most excruciating new ????
Who does that?????
UNless this scene is a horrific dream THIS Tina is C R U E L
Loved this story. But I think I had a different interpretation than others. I don’t think Tina was being cruel. I think she’s acting like the lost little bird she always is when she’s not ‘with’ Bette. She knows she loves Bette, she tells Bette she loves her but now she’s made everything worse, panics, and runs. I still hope you continue it
