    “How is that possible Shane? I mean, God just look at her” Bette whispered

    “Hey TK I’m so glad you made it” Alice yelled as she leaned in to hug Tina

    “Yeah, well Helena insisted I join her”

    “Hey Shane you look very handsome” Tina said with a wink

    “Kit So nice to see you” Tina reached over and pulled Kit into a hug

    “Baby girl you look so good in that dress, Alice is right red is your color”

    “Well I would hope so she insisted I buy this dress” Tina laughed and looked over to Alice

    “Yes I take all the credit for miss thang looking so damn hot” Alice said “Hey your wearing the earnings Shane and I got you for your Birthday!”

    “Yeah I finally had an excuse to wear them besides the rubies compliment this dress” Tina answered

    Tina then turned and looked at Bette

    “Hello Bette, congratulations on the launch of the magazine I like what you did to the place, you must be really proud it looks amazing”

    “Thank you Tina and its true”

    “Excuse me? Bette, what’s true?” Tina asked

    “You look amazing tonight” Bette said giving Tina one of her Mega watt smiles

    Shane and Alice looked at each other with raised brows

    Just then a good looking man approached them

    “Excuse me Bette Mr. Brown from the L.A. Times wants know if you time for the interview now?’

    “Oh yeah sure, sure” Bette said”Oh James I would like you to meet my sister Kit and this is Tina Kennard” “Kit, Tina this is James he’s my PA he’s working with me on L.A. Art magazine”

    “Ok, James lets go excuse me guys I’ll catch up with you in a bit” Bette looked over her shoulder as she was waking away and gave Tina one last look.

    Tina felt like she had been holding her breath she let out a big breath
    “Tina you oK?” Shane asked

    “Huh? Oh yeah I’m just great Shane”

    “I’m so glad I came, this place looks great Bette did a great job on this place”

     

    Just then Helena walks up to the group

    “Tina there you are”

    “Oh, Hey Helena” Tina replied “Let me introduce you to my friends”

    1. Damn I love this story! I felt like I was standing in the room watching it happen. Ilm thinkin’ Bette better come clean quickly or she’ll miss out! PPS!

    3. First off, Bette needs some serious help. Tina spends the night with her and she doesn’t even have the manners to check with her friends to see how she’s doing — in seven months??? That is the height of self-absorption. I could understand that Bette may not contact her personally but not asking Shane or Alice about her? Frankly, she deserves to have some difficulty capturing Tina’s heart after being such a ninny for so long. She’s definitely going to have competition – particularly now that Helena has figured out her interest in Tina. This story just keeps getting more interesting… I hope you post again soon. You left us hanging at the party! I am requesting at least one private moment with Tina and Bette at the party… :>)

    5. Gee, how did I miss this story? Can’t believe it, so glad I caught up. Took me a good part of my Sunday LOL. My little heart broke for Tina because of Bette’s behaviour that night they shared together but I love seeing what became of the little innocent T, it made her stronger and changed her life but yet she remained this sweet and caring person. Gosh, I love how you portrayed her in this story

    13. Fight…fight…fight!! LOL! Hmm, Bette has to make a play for Tina but I’m not sure how she’s going to find time now that she has 2 magazines to focus on…We need Hels to disappear (not that I don’t like her I just prefer the T&B combo)

    15. So happy there was an update – Great Chapter! Nice to see Tina worried that she has lost weight and is rundown – she should to take care of Bette. Maybe now Bette can come to terms with her feelings and go after Tina – nothing like a little competition to light a fire and need i say “let the games begin”. Need more – soon – PPS !

I think it’s time for Bette to realize that she will loose Tina eventually if she doesn’t find a way of pouring out what’s in her heart, especially now that Helena knows her yearning.
