“Helena, this is Alice Piasecki, she’s the Chief Editor for ‘L Magazine and now for the new L.A. Art Magazine”
“Hiya Helena, nice to meet you” Alice said shaking Helena’s hand
“This is Shane Mc Cutchen, she’s the Head of Marketing and PR again, for both Magazines”
“Hey” Shane said with a wave of her hand
“Mc Cutchen, Mc Cutchen? Where have I heard that name before?” Helena asked
“Well Shane used to work for a big Hollywood PR Firm; she represented quite a few stars”
“Oh, that’s right, I think I might have spoken to you a time or two you used to work with Nicki Stevens right?” Helena asked
“Yeah, Nicki was once my client” Shane answered
“Well you have quite a reputation Miss Mc Cutchen”
“Well I don’t know if that’s a good thing, and please call me Shane”
“Its all good, Shane all good” Helena replied
“Helena, this is Kit Porter, she owns the planet.”
“Hi Kit very nice to meet you, Tina had introduced me to you establishment and I quite enjoy it” Helena said shaking Kits hand
“Well thank you Helena it’s always nice seeing a new face around the planet, besides any friend of Tina is a friend of mine”
“Porter? Any relation to hostess Elizabeth Porter?”
“Well yes” Bette answered for kit walking up behind Helena “Kit’s my sister”
“Sorry we haven’t been formally introduced, I’m Helena Peabody”
“Yes I’ve heard a lot about you from Peggy, and please call me Bette” Bette said shaking Helena’s hand
“All good I hope, I know how mummy can be” Helena laughed
“Yes all good she’s very proud of you and the work the studio’s is producing”
“Good to hear” Helena turned to Tina asked “Tina, ladies I’m heading over to the bat can I get you anything?”
“No thanks were good” Shane, Alice and Kit answered
“I’ll take a white wine Helena, want me to come with you?” Tina asked
“No Tina, stay here and chat with your friends I’ll be right back” Helena reached out and touched Tina’s arm as she walked away to get her drinks.
‘WTF’ Bette thought to herself ‘why does she keep on touching T?’ ‘Are they together?’
Bette felt uncomfortable standing there in front of Tina and her friends
“I’ll be right back guys, I’ve just decided I really need a drink”
As Bette walked away Tina turned to the girls
“Guys she looks really tired and has she lost weight?” Tina asked
“TK she’s been working herself to the ground, trying to do it all you know how anal she can get she thinks her way is the only way sometimes, she wouldn’t let me or Shane help, she wouldn’t even let Allison help her”
“Yeah Tina Alice is right, she been working herself to the point of exhaustion”
Bette walked over to one of the bars put her hands on the counter and took a deep breath
“Can I get a scotch neat please” Bette asked the bartender
Bette took the drink and quickly downed it.
“Can I get another? And make it a double”
Bette took her drink turned around and stared at Tina unaware that at the other end of the counter Helena was waiting for her drinks to be served.
Bette with many different emotions running through her mind she started intently at Tina
Helena turned and followed Bette’s stare she quietly walked over to where Bette was standing and said;
“She’s stunning isn’t she?” Helena asked
Bette was momentary caught off guard she didn’t realize she was being watched she quickly looked at Helena then turned back to stare at the blonde
“She’s breath taking” Bette answered with that said Bette turned to Helena, and looked straight into her eyes, that’s when Helena realized that Bette Porters feelings for Tina ran deeper than those of just friendship.
“I see” was all Helena said as she walked away drinks in hand.

This is so good, more please. I really want some Helena and Tina time, I mean bette does not deserve Tina, she was an asshole, a big one.PPS
First off, Bette needs some serious help. Tina spends the night with her and she doesn’t even have the manners to check with her friends to see how she’s doing — in seven months??? That is the height of self-absorption. I could understand that Bette may not contact her personally but not asking Shane or Alice about her? Frankly, she deserves to have some difficulty capturing Tina’s heart after being such a ninny for so long. She’s definitely going to have competition – particularly now that Helena has figured out her interest in Tina. This story just keeps getting more interesting… I hope you post again soon. You left us hanging at the party! I am requesting at least one private moment with Tina and Bette at the party… :>)
Hated that Helena was the one to see Bette’s looking at Tina with such love and lust. She can be a witch. Let Bette go after Tina tonight xont stop to think just do it. thanks
Gee, how did I miss this story? Can’t believe it, so glad I caught up. Took me a good part of my Sunday LOL. My little heart broke for Tina because of Bette’s behaviour that night they shared together but I love seeing what became of the little innocent T, it made her stronger and changed her life but yet she remained this sweet and caring person. Gosh, I love how you portrayed her in this story
I wasn’t done with my comment, stupid computer! Anyway, hope Bette will suffer for a little while and chase after Tina, that girl deserves to be wooed. Hope that Helena won’t cause any big problems. Thanks for sharing this great story ILM!
Bette said the wrong thing to Helena because she can be a first class b–ch and will not mind rubbing Bette’s nose in it. Bette and Tina need to talk very soon and Bette needs to reign the green-eyed monster that has taken up residence in her mind. Helena will be merciless in her attack. PPS

Fight…fight…fight!! LOL! Hmm, Bette has to make a play for Tina but I’m not sure how she’s going to find time now that she has 2 magazines to focus on…We need Hels to disappear (not that I don’t like her I just prefer the T&B combo)

So happy there was an update – Great Chapter! Nice to see Tina worried that she has lost weight and is rundown – she should to take care of Bette. Maybe now Bette can come to terms with her feelings and go after Tina – nothing like a little competition to light a fire and need i say “let the games begin”. Need more – soon – PPS !

Alpha Tina but still sweet and kind to her friends. Still humble inspite of her success. I think it’s time for Bette to realize that she will loose Tina eventually if she doesn’t find a way of pouring out what’s in her heart, especially now that Helena knows her yearning.
