“And this is Tina Kennard. She’s the new studio head for the Shaolin- Peabody Movie Studio in Los Angeles.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Marcus.”
“The pleasure is all mine Tina.” Marcus is as charming as can be. He flashes an identical smile to Bette’s and Tina can’t help but notice the resemblance again.
Before they have any more time for conversation Peggy and Nikolas enter the room and she announces that it’s time to sit down to dinner. Once again her personal chef Douglas has outdone himself by preparing a scrumptious five course meal.
After dinner and a bit more socializing the evening winds down and everyone gets ready to leave. Max and Dylan want to spend some more time with Bette and they want to show Tina some of the New York nightlife so the couples agree to meet at a nightclub later that evening. Winnie and Alicia beg off and Marcus says he has to be getting home but he would catch up with everyone the following day.
Everyone bids Peggy goodnight and thank her for the lovely evening. Before she leaves Peggy takes Bette to the side to speak to her privately.
“Are you seeing Marcus tomorrow?”
“Yes. He’s coming to the loft for lunch. Do you know what’s going on with him?”
“Yes, we talked this afternoon. He has a situation that he’s asked my help with but I wanted him to speak to you first.”
“What’s it about?”
“I’d rather he tell you himself. He has a life-changing decision to make. I think you are the best person to help him with it. I’ll be here all afternoon tomorrow. Why don’t you come by after you’ve had a chance to talk to him?”
“You are both being so mysterious but I suppose I’ll need to wait until tomorrow. Thank you for arranging the gathering Peggy. It was really nice spending time with you and our old and new friends. I really enjoyed it.”
“It was wonderful for me as well. You go enjoy your evening out and behave yourself.”
“Look who’s talking?” Bette smirked as the glanced at Nikolas perched on a stool patiently waiting for Peggy while she finished saying goodnight to her guests.

Tina was waiting in the car by the time Bette made it downstairs. David helped her in and closed the door.

Alright!…Your author’s note cleared that up!..I’m all for twists and turns!..Love how you threw the conversation about the donor disagreement from Season 1 in here…Tina needs to want a monogamous relationship first so she and Bette will be on the same page to pursue a relationship..Nice chapter and loved the interaction with TiBette..Now they can get to know each other a little better in the next chapter!
Great update. Oh wow, they had THE conversation and didn’t get hurt over it. At least that will be out of the way if something does happen and they do get together and make those life altering decisions regarding having a family. Happy they are having a great time together enjoying their time together and learning more about each other. This is a very interesting story. Thanks for posting.

It`s going a bit slow but I like this sweet and genuine Bette so I`m going to keept at it a little bit longer:)
Really pleased to have some 1 to 1 time with Bette and Tina and very nice how the Donor conversations were introduced., far better than the confrontational way in the Show.

It was a very good chapter, and I’m glad that they’re getting to know each other better. and the easy-going conversation between them.
Well it seems the time is the key to this story, Bette and Tina are not emotionally in the same place. and then soon they live in two different part.
I’ will waiting ;) It will also be good to read how their lives turn out.

Interesting to see their views on marriage and children. They have to be on the same page before they can go forward in a romantic fashion. But I am a huge TiBetter, so I want them to realize their fates sooner rather than too late. Excellent chapter!
I quite agree with everyone here how the donor story was introduced. Unlike in the show, I love the softer side of Bette in this story, not sure when Jodies attack on her will resurface? Lets hope Tina and her connect will she is staying at Bette’s loft.
Yes! I know that bette would have nothing with Dylan or Winnie.
Through their conversations talking about how each has its vision of life, and even disagreeing with certain matters, they already give beginning to the future have a solid relationship. I loved this chapter.
