Her tongue slides into Tina’s mouth and they kiss passionately as their bodies thrust and melt into the other. They slow their pace, as their need to be together, to reconnect,

    “Shhh, T.” They both smile and look lovingly at each other. Bette shifts her body and gently enters her lover. Her tongue slides into Tina’s mouth and they kiss passionately as their bodies thrust and melt into the other. They slow their pace, as their need to be together, to reconnect, gets greater and more desperate. They want to enjoy each other, to savor, to make love slowly and with tenderness but with a building powerful fire that they’ve only known with each other. As they climax, they whisper sweet nothings and hold each other’s trembling bodies then melt in a blazing kiss that starts their love making over again.

    “I can’t believe we haven’t done that in…in…”

    “Don’t say it, T. You’ll jinx us.” Bette smiles and kisses her lovingly.

    Tina giggles but her smile fades. The guilt returns quickly as she remembers the last few months. She looks deep into Bette’s warm eyes. “I’m sorry.” She says meekly.

    “Talk to me, baby.” Bette turns to her side and props her head high on her pillows. She plays with Tina’s hair, hoping to reassure her of her love.

    “I was scared…so, I was pushing you away, testing your limits. I was afraid that you were going to leave me, that you were going to discover what a fucked up mess I am and run back to your island as fast as you can.”

    “I knew that already.” Bette says with a smirk.

    “What, that I’m a mess?”

    “Yes.”

    “Bette?”

    “I was just like you five years ago. I was successful, confident and alpha on the outside but scared shitless and in a constant panic on the inside. I was so tightly wrapped around layers and layers of ice-cold armor. I couldn’t trust anyone because everyone always wanted something from me. I had crazy artists, buyers and agents all stalking me all the time. At its worst, the art world could be just as shallow and demanding and pretentious as Hollywood. That’s probably why I slept with so many nameless women. They couldn’t hurt me if I didn’t care for them. Of course, they sometimes stalked me too.”

    “What happened? What changed?”

    “I met Barbara. She was a woman who was just as ambitious, just as driven, just as alpha. But it was her heart that drove her, not fear, or the need for approval like me. She did things because she firmly believed that she could change the world for the better. She could change lives and build hope and promise and above all, deliver. I was so proud of her when she became Senator because I knew her passion and generosity would be known on a massive scale. She has done some amazing things since.”

    4. I think Helena receive a kick in the ass by Tina and Bette and friendship will be lost by Tina and the girls. I hope that this time a coup Bette and Tina Helena too! Thanks for your chapter.

    5. If Tina is questioning anyone’s devious motives it should be Helena’s not Bette. All she needs to do is think about what happened on the island and how she came to be on that plane in the first place. Additionally she either trusts Bette or she doesn’t. Bette doesn’t need to explain herself. If Bette is an assassin, I hope Helena is her next target and this time she finishes the job. :-)

    9. As Tina’s friends they should’ve been told her what Helna was trying to do. They are not.really good friends because they are continually let Helena attempt to sabotage B&T relationship without Tina having a clue.
