The Island – Chapter 20
Bette looks around the table only getting a sense of compassion from Dana. She locks eyes with Helena and glares at her before shaking her head at Tina. If anything, she is disappointed at the idiocy of the accusation, at the lack of trust and support from her girlfriend. Anger begins to build inside her. After everything they’ve been through, after everything they said to each other just this morning. She takes a deep breath to calm herself down but she’s very close to losing control.
“I will tell you everything but not here and not in front of them and the entire restaurant. Except Dana.” Bette smiles to show she’s joking but it was the wrong thing to do as Tina’s eyes flare with anger.
“You trust Dana more than you trust me?” Tina raises her voice, gaining the attention of the surrounding tables.
“Oh shit.” Bette looks apologetically at her friend. Dana offers a sympathetic smile. “Tina. That’s not what I meant. Just come with me and I will explain everything.”
“No! These are my friends. They have every right to know if you’ve been playing me.”
“Is that what you think?” Bette slumps her shoulders in defeat as her eyes fill with tears. “You still don’t trust me?” She reaches for Tina’s hair. Tina pulls away quickly.
“I’m trying here, Bette.” Tina feels her heart breaking at the pain in her lover’s face. But she will not back down.
“Yeah well, I’m dying here, Tina.” Bette voice is almost a whisper. She gives Tina one last longing look. Her heart shatters and her stomach starts flipping painfully. She turns on her heels and walks out of the restaurant, using every ounce of restraint not to look back.
“Fuck!” Tina says under her breath after realizing the meaning behind Bette’s last words. She doesn’t want Bette to leave but she doesn’t want any more secrets and lies either. She needs to hear the truth. She starts to move towards the door but Helena stops her.
“Let her go, Tina. Let her get her ass out of L.A. before I call the authorities.”
“What the fuck? I still don’t have any answers. I still don’t know what the hell is going on.”
“Isn’t it obvious?” Helena waves the check violently in the air.

TINA,to be so in love with BETTE you doubt her at the drop of a hat. Promises comes out your mouth but dumbness creeps in your brain. Well little rich girl, you FINALLY broke the camel’s back with BETTE and it was by your own hand .HELENA had her own agenda but TINA allowed it to come between her and her girlfriend.Sorry TINA you lose for now.pps thanlks
No no no!!! This is the punishment Tina has
By leaving Helena always meddling in his
relationship with Bette. And having even discover
the truth behind the actions Helena, too late.
Tina did not yield Bette nor the benefit of the doubt.
The complete constellation.
Tina is very dim witted not to recognize Helena was in love with her and to doubt the woman you love so much. Thanks, enjoyed it
I still don’t know what a love boodle is. I gladly invite those readers who have heard it to please define it for me lol! Great chapter Little P. Can’t wait for the next.
meloveslu
love boodle
noun
person, who engages in uncustomary acts by way of acquiring the affections of a suitor.
– She spent her days anticipating the moment when she could take Tina into the garden shed and release her inner love boodle.
ORIGIN late Middle English
It’s a derogatory term – not sure why LP is so drawn to it…..
Oh and thanks for posting Lp. Enjoying it.
Ah Ally, I never meant it as a derogatory term. It’s a term of endearment I remember from my younger days, which just happens to be a very very long time ago. My apologies if it was offensive
“And one day I will find this miracle guy, and he will be my love boodle.”
Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s hysterical. Derogatory or not, I had never heard the term. At first I thought maybe she meant “Poodle” instead of “Boodle.” Based on your research, I think I would rather be called a love poodle LOL
OOOh ! Tina !! TIna !! TINa !!! TINA !!!
Thanks for this LP Can’t wait for more ! Please, please post soon !!
Ooh shit Tina! You are one foolish woman, that was really a very dumb thing to say.
When you claim to love somebody, see her as the love of your life, you need to give them a chance to explain and what is that with that script? Is that the one those bastards were after for?
Great update! Can you please update again asap? !
Enjoyed this chapter. Can’t wait for the next one.
Quite agree with Bibi28……. why Tina listened to Helena is beyond me.
Great chapter but so very sad. Please post soon.
I was absolutely sure that intensifies the drama!
but Tina, it was already too much. She says, she loves Bette, but if she isn’t so confident in the love of her life, then there is big trouble.
Maybe she doesn’t deserve it.
WOW PPS
This is such a good story, I hope it will be finished!
Great story, too bad that you didn’t want to finish it :(
