    Bette and Tina Go Take a Break from the Drama.

     

    Bettes voice was strong and clear when she spoke. Im okay, T. I just wanted to be near you.

     

    You sure?, asked Tina.

     

    Im sure., Bette responded.  

     

    Her young mind didnt fully understand the reason why her spirit was craving Tinas touch. She didnt realize that after spending the last hour listening to her mothers excuses and tales of woe and subconsciously scrutinizing and estimating the validity of Janices words, her mind needed a rest from the constant questioning and analyzing shed been doing. Bette had truly suffered an agonizing ordeal in going through that discussion with her mother, and now she needed to feel the love and comfort from the one woman in the world she truly trusted with fragile heart.

     

    T?, said Bette.

     

    Yeah, babe?, Tina whispered, continuing to lovingly stroke her lovers back.

     

    Im gonna get dressed and then I want to get out of here for a while, said Bette. She moved her head snuggling closer to her girlfriend.

     

    That sounds like a good idea. But what about answering the phone for your grandmother?, asked Tina.

     

    My mother can do that. Besides, I havent heard it ring once., said Bette. I just need a break. I need to get out of this house.

     

    Okay. Go ahead and get in the shower. Ill get something out for you to wear and we can go., said Tina.

     

    Bette eased herself away from her girlfriends body and sat back on her knees, her arms still around Tinas waist. Dark brown orbs met warm amber eyes and the girls shared a small smile.

     

    Thank you, T. I love you., said Bette, staring up at her soul mate from her seat on the carpet. 

     

    Tina cupped Bettes chin with her right hand and replied, I love you, too. Before kissing her lovers forehead and moving down to gently kiss Bettes soft lips. The loving blonde pulled her girlfriend into a hug and Bette rested her head against Tinas *****.

     

    This is my favorite spot., said Bette.

     

    Why? Because youre laying on my *****?, asked Tina, hoping to get a smile out of her lover.

    7. MTS, it’s official!! I am obsessed with this story. I typically print this story out and read it at work (damn internet security at work will not let me access this site). So this morning, I was all excited to see another post from you. I printed out the story, got distracted, and forgot it!!! Ugggghhhhh!!! I was cussing myself all day, and couldn’t wait to get home and read this chapter. As always, it was well worth the wait and anticipation. You are amazing!!

      Bette sounded like a loser in high school, hehehe but i can understand her, i went through the same thing in mid school..

    20. I hope Grandma, Aunty, or dad didn’t happen to see the little lover’s kiss. Just went to my first Pride this past Saturday. We had a festival after and the feeling of freedom permeated the day. Couples holding hands, dancing, and kissing marked the wonderful event. Thanks for your story MTS!!!

      I just speak from the heart. Your story is just magnificent. I marvel at this masterpiece every time you add a chapter. The characters live and breathe in this realistic and believable universe you have created. The feeling and emotions are tangible as every twist and turn pulls Bette and Tina apart before tenderly re-uniting them. New characters have joined as if they have always been integral to the saga and provided much pleasure, excitement and distress. In a lesser writer’s hands, this could have been ham-fisted however in your capable and talented hands in has been seamless.
      I adore this break away from the despair and drama of Bette’s family and her anguished relationship with her mother. Tina is there; a constant force to care, share and protect her lover.
      Can’t wait for your next installment as will spent the rest of the day with a big grin and a happy song in my head.

    28. Great chapter as all your chapters are. I like how Tina didn’t let Bette off the hook but kept at her to get the whole story which is one that is so true. I puts in prespective the way that Bette approached fitting in and how she came to the decision to be herself. Thanks so much for the charming B&T
