    B&T Beginning Set on College Campus. Tina nodded and before her head could finish one full nod, Bette kissed her deeply. She tasted Tina in a way that would leave an impression on the young blonde’s soul

     

    “Really?” asked Bette.

     

    “Yes. A love that can endure the wrath of Melvin is a love worth sustaining,” Kit replied.

     

    Bette smiled softly. “You hit the nail on the head with that one.”

     

    “I’m just so happy for you. You deserve to be happy, Bette. You’ve worked your ass for years trying to please our father and you’re only 19 years old. Maybe now he’ll learn to accept you on your terms and not on his. You’ve done nothing wrong. Well….the lying about Sidney part and the lying about Damon part wasn’t cool….but aside from that, the two of you being together is okay. There’s nothing wrong with it. You dig?”

     

    Bette and Tina nodded. “I get it,” Bette replied.

     

    “Good. Now what do you two recommend?” asked Kit, picking up her menu.

     

    Tina took a deep breath and spoke up. “Kit, thank you. We don’t get a lot of support. It’s hard to go through life as a ‘we’ when no one wants you to be together. My parents….they have no idea. And if they get an idea, I’m toast. But whenever you’re around, it feels like at least we have a family in you. You know what I mean?”

     

    Kit smiled and placed a hand over Tina’s. “Tina, that is so sweet. I’m so happy that I can be here for you guys. I haven’t had your struggle, but I’ve had my own. And I know it’s hard when you’re on the outs with your folks. It can be damned hard. And that’s why I’m so happy I can be here for you. I wasn’t around for Bette when she was growing up but I am here now. And I’m here for the both of you, come hell or high water.”

     

    “Well, you standing up to Daddy is a testament to that,” said Bette.

     

    “I do come with years of experience,” said Kit.

     

    “I’m sorry about that. You didn’t deserve – – -,” Bette began.

     

    “No, no. It’s alright. I made my piece with Daddy years ago. I’m used to him. And I know that he loves me. Despite everything I’ve done and haven’t done, he still loves me. He just has a funny way of showing it. He’s stubborn to a fault. I just hope he doesn’t wait too long to realize how much he’s hurt you.”

Hate to see that this part of their life is ending because it started it all for me, but so please to see a new beginning is coming and is so looking forward to reading the it.     10. I am saddened that they have to seperate even if it is for the summer. Maybe Tina can visit Bette. I did like Aunt Karen and hope that she can be there for Bette. I worry a bit about Tina because she has nobody to talk to about Bette. Please don’t keep our girls seperated tooo long.

    11. Hey MTS! I love this story and your writing is excellent. Am I nuts, or did ch 65 end differently than the start of ch 66 shows under “previously”. I show the last sentence of ch 65 being “And most importantly, why was Eric calling all of a sudden?” but your “previously” shows it as “When their call ended, Bette looked over at the newly framed photo of Kit she had on her desk. She smiled to herself and rushed to call Tina and tell her the good news.” Am I missing something?
