War, Love, and Commitment…a Sci-Fi Story Chapter 9 – THE TRAP

Minion Dreg: “your splendiferousness, wants us to find a carriage?”

Glory: (hitting her minion) “stupid servant, I don’t need any vehicle to travel”

Minion Jinx: “your glorification, that was before you lost your powers, remember before you were killed”

Glory: “silence little parasite…, I should have asked the First to restore some of my powers in this planet…, we’ll walk until finding a car”

The road from New LA to New Pasadena was long, it could take less than half an hour flying in an f-car, and probably 1 or 2 hours driving, but walking it would take several hours.

After two hours walking they were lost, and Glory was cursing her luck.

Somewhere in between space and time – probably 6:00 pm. Same day – Lab in the wormhole.

While Glory was trying to reach New Pasadena, in the lab the allies were in red alert studying whatever movement around the portal to the Hellmouth. They were taking turns, and at this moment Willow and Louise were in charge of monitoring, the evil place, using smart probes. Kit and Angus were in the parking of the f-cars, the professor wants to check the liquid nitrogen converter, but Kit was a little bored observing her fiancé working the machine.

Angus: “why don’t you go to the dining room, Bette and Tina should be there, and you could check the menu and find something delicious for us”

Kit: “the dining room is a little far, I don’t want to stay far from you, I’ll be walking over here”

    Angus: “okay, but be careful”

And Kit decided to take a walk around the tents of the Scoobies; she was curious to know how these people could live in tents for such a long time.

On the other side of the portal of the Hellmouth, the Master had produced a little portal far from the entrance and made Dr. Buckley pass through it toward the allies’ positions. That happened at noon, but it took several hours for her to reach the location of the human forces. Buckley was tired, in pain because of the changes on her face; she was blind of one eye and the natural illumination of the wormhole made her feel dizzy. The fact that she didn’t remember very well the face of Bette, because three years ago she was focused in Tina, added to the former factors making very difficult for her to execute the task. However, Buckley was frightened by the way the First Evil killed Caleb for failing in his mission; indeed she was terrorized and worried for her life.  She decides to look for information, and, in her way she found Anya.

Dr. Buckley: “excuse me, have you seen the daughter of Mr. Porter”

Anya: “you mean the one who was driving one of those combat cars today?”

Dr. Buckley: “yes, the same one”

Anya: “I saw her walking around…, let’s see…, hmm, there, passing those tents, there she is”

    Dr. Buckley: “thank you”

Buckley was now approaching Kit, thinking she was Bette, of course, it seemed a little older to be Bette, but Buckley had a sight problem, and was tired. The only thing she wanted was to give the trap gadget to Porter’s daughter and flee toward the Hellmouth to recover her face and have some rest.

Dr. Buckley: “excuse me, may you help me?”

Kit: “hmm, what can I do for you?”

Dr. Buckley: “I’m lost, I ran away from the evil, I need asylum, and I have to give a message to someone but it is inside this box, and I hardly can see, may you please read the name of the addressee?”

Kit took the nice box, it was beautiful and unique, she never saw anything similar before, it looked ancient and expensive, and she was impressed and attracted by the object.

Kit: “okay, let’s open this precious box…”

    1. Hey proteonomics, welcome back!

Only one chapter left ????, wow didn’t expected that.

I really enjoyed this chapter. Looking forward to the next chapter when they destroy the First Evil for good.

Please don’t let Kit open that box, i don’t want her or everyone else disappear for good.

Thank you so much for for this incredible story proteonomics!

    2. Hi Bibi:

Yes, is only one chapter left and I hope to post it next week, but I also hope our lovely couple, if they survive, of course, will continue their adventures in the future.

When I started writing the story, I, honestly, was expecting to finish it on last October, but several things came in the way, among them a big hurricane and consequently lot of work, but finally, we are here, in the verge of ending this adventure.

Thank you so much, Bibi, for being such an excellent reader and commenter, you as other readers are the vital force of stories, because in my opinion, without readers stories would be only ideas, personal reflections, cathartic notes, isolated essays from our souls and minds.

I’m honored that you read and comment on my stories.

      Thanks Bibi

    3. Hi proteonomics,

Thank you for your kind words ????.

But if you want me to continue to read your stories, you must let Bette and Tina survive this war, without Tibette in love and happy i will be devastated and crying my heart out ????.

I would love to read about them when they are older like in Tina’s dream.

Please, can you promise to a loyal reader that you will not harm Bette and Tina and not break my poor heart?
