Jim – Morning, Miss Tina!
Tina – Morning, Jim!
Jim – I was so worried about you and Minnie, Miss Tina! I was about to go to the house and tell Kit.
She looks concerned.
Tina – I’m so sorry, Jim! I didn’t plan to stay out all night. But everything is fine!
Jim – It’s kind of dangerous out there, Miss Tina! For those new to this place … there are mountain lions and even bears sometimes!
Tina – I know, Jim … Believe me, we were both very safe!
Jim – Did she eat yet?
Tina – Yes, she has been grazing in the valley. I believe she had enough to eat.
Jim – I’ll see if she wants more.
He pulls the horse by the rein and turns to the stable. She presses her lips together.
Tina – Jim …
He stops and turns around.
Tina – Thank you for worrying about us. (pause) Minnie was with Charlie, Jim.
He looks surprised.
Jim – Oh …
Tina – I’d appreciate if you kept this between us.
Jim – Yes, Miss Tina! (pause) Bette knows that she can trust me.
She smiles relieved.
Tina – Thanks, Jim!
Jim – You’re welcome!
She leaves the stable. He pats the mare.
Jim – And here I was, worried to death about you, little girl! Charlie is going to have a talk with me when he returns!
Jim – I guess you’re not a little girl any longer, are you?
He walks her inside.
Tina’s office, morning: Tina is at her desk looking distracted, while staring at the computer monitor. Jen appears at the door.
Jen – Are you coming?
The producer doesn’t notice her. Jen knocks.
Jen – Tina?!
Tina – Huh?
Jen – The scene is going to start. Are you coming?
Tina – Uh … yes!
She stands up and makes her way to the door.
Jen – Where is the script?
Tina – Oh …
She chuckles and returns to her desk, grabbing the script.
Tina – The script!
She sighs. They leave the office.
Jen – Where have you been?
Tina – Why?
Jen – We didn’t see you at dinner.
