    Their grandparents had four children: Nate, Charles, LaVerne, and Lenore. LaVerne had no children, Shelby was her Uncle Charles middle child and every summer when Lenore (Alice’s mother) would come to visit she, Shelby, and Rhonda (her Uncle Nate’s only child) were like three peas in a pod!     Their grandparents had four children: Nate, Charles, LaVerne, and Lenore. LaVerne had no children, Shelby was her Uncle Charles middle child and every summer when Lenore (Alice’s mother) would come to visit she, Shelby, and Rhonda (her Uncle Nate’s only child) were like three peas in a pod! Rhonda, decided to make New York her home while Alice opted for California, Shelby on the other hand decided to remain in Texas to help tend to the family farm and land. Although, she frequently kept in contact with Rhonda the same could not be said about Shelby. They rarely spoke or had any contact with one another which was odd considering how close they once were. Taking time off work, Dana coming back into her life, the lawsuit, and her relationship with Tasha she was seeking to get away for a few days and hoped to visit Rhonda in New York. After speaking with Rhonda she was shocked to discover she had flown to visit her dad. It was Rhonda who convinced her to come down and join her. The last time she stepped foot in Texas was almost 13 ½ years prior when she visited their ailing grandparents with Dana by her side she hadn’t been back since until now.

    Alice: How you been? [hoping to change the subject]

    Shelby: Great, just farming, working, and Monster Trucking.

    Alice: Living the life I see?

    Shelby: Yup.

    Alice: I was expecting Rhonda to pick me up from the airport not that I’m not happy to see you it’s just she told me she would be there.

    Shelby: She was but there was a sudden hole in the fence so I volunteered to scoop ya.

    Alice: [a confused look appeared on her face]

    Shelby: You look bout as confused as a goat on Astro Turf.

    Alice: A little.

    Shelby: She tried calling but got no answer.

    Alice: I busted my phone before I got to the airport.

    Shelby: She wanted to be here but done went and paid Uncle Nate a visit.

    Alice: Oh, I thought Nate was staying on the farm? Did he move?

    Shelby: I reckon he did that is until uh bout 3 months ago.

    Alice: How far away did he move?

    Shelby: Not far a couple of miles from the city.

      Thanks for this really funny chapter. I hope things will get better for Bette and Tina, and they could patch up their relationship.

      I have my doubts about Alice and Tasha and Lara and Dana.

      If Jenny was going to be at Shane’s party there will be hell to pay. Lol.

      That was a very funny update, i loved the conversation between Tina & Kit, hilarious ????

      I really hope that Bette &Tina are finally going to talk and solve their problems, their marriage is at stake and as a true Tibetter i am worried. Bette filing a missing person report was funny.

      I hope the other couples are going to talk and sort out their relationships, but i don’t see a future between Alice & Tasha and Lara & Dana. But maybe you will surprise us.
