Who’s Your Heart Chasing? – Chapter Two

“Because I was told if I told you then our conversations would come to an end.”
“Nothing has to come to an end but the reason you felt you had to lie to us, hurts us.” Tina moves closer towards Angie.
“And the line has been crossed when she called your Mama B a controlling person.”
“I defended Mama B though, I told her it wasn’t true.”
I cut in. “If that’s the truth then why did you say you agree with her?”
“I guess, I got angry.”
“You owe your mama B an apology now.” Tina demands.
“I’m sorry, B.”
“I forgive you but we try to do our very best every day to protect you, Angie.”
“You don’t have to protect me from Carrie.”
“We understand that Angie but there were a lot of things said that you don’t know about.” Tina responds.
“Am I still allowed to go to Mama T’s?”
“Yes. Go get ready.” I look up at her and watch as she climbs the stairs.
Silence fills the air as we sit there on the sofa facing away from each other.
“I’m sorry I haven’t spoken to you in a while.” Tina says as I feel her eyes staring at the side of my face.
I turn to glance at her.
“I’m just giving you the time you need.”
“Thanks.”

Tina
My emotions run high tonight as I sit on my sofa with my phone placed in front of me on the coffee table. My mind feels like it’s going to explode. How dare she? I have tried countless times to reach Carrie and this entire time she has been talking to my daughter and making her keep it from me. Inside I’m fuming. Behind my back she is talking to my daughter! I feel sick to my stomach not truly knowing if the way I have been defending her to Bette was even the right thing to do. I know she only tolerated Bette because of Angie and me. I knew deep down she couldn’t stand the ground she walked on and I can say the same for Bette. The toleration for each other was only for Angie and me.
“Mama?” Angie says coming around the corner. “I’m back now.”

I just discovered your story and I’m very intrigued. It’s different from the other stories i have read.
It’s really weird Carrie has contact with Angie but doesn’t reach out to Tina to talk and find closure. That she and Bette doesn’t get along and tolerated each other for Angie’s sake i understand but i always felt Carrie tried to pull Angie in and tried in a sneaky way to get Angie on her side and put negative thoughts about her Mama B into her.
And Tina, so far i don’t like your version of her, blaming Bette for everything while she is as much to blame. Poor Bette, she always takes the blame and accept it, thinks herself she is the one who messed up. In this case it’s Tina who asked Bette if she was still in love with her while she already knew that answer. Maybe Bette’s timing could have been better but still it’s Tina who started this mess with her question to Bette.
I hope you will post a new chapter soon and to read about Carrie’s and Tina’s conversation.
