Who’s Your Heart Chasing? – Chapter Two

I sigh and turn away trying not to show my frustration at this moment. Not only can Carrie not exist in my life, the soul sucking woman now has my daughter involved.
“I don’t want you talking to Carrie anymore unless I’m around or Mama T is around.”
“You can’t tell me who I can talk to. I told Carrie I wouldn’t mention this to Mama T.”
“Doesn’t that sound a bit crazy to you, Angie? That you can’t tell your own mother who she calmed to love that you guys are in contact with one another.”
“She told me this would happen if I told you but I didn’t believe her. She’s right about you.”
“What exactly does that mean young lady!?” I exclaim.
“You try to control everything.”
“I am your mother. And this is no longer going to be kept a secret.”
“I’m done talking about this.” She throws her hands up in the air and angrily walks away.
I walk around the bed and retrieve my cell phone from the nightstand. I take a deep breath before I dial Tina’s number.
“Bette?”
“Tina.”
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s Angie. She’s just informed me that she has been in contact with Carrie.”
“She has what?”
“Yes, Carrie and her have been talking.”
“How is that even possible? I haven’t even talked to her since we broke up.”
“I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes but T, what has she been telling our daughter?”
“Bette, I don’t believe Carrie would say anything out of the way to her.”
“She was told not to tell you and Carrie also told her I’m controlling.”
“I’m on my way over.”
The phone call ends and I sit myself back down on the foot of the bed. I don’t want to cause a scene but my trust in Carrie is very little. I understand the hate she has for me. I would hate me too. I run my fingers through my hair and look down at my feet. I take a big deep breath before I carry myself out of my bedroom in search of Angie.
“Angie?” I call out walking down the hall.
“I don’t want to talk to you right now.” I hear her call from her bedroom. I reach her door and try to turn the knob but it is locked. “Unlock this door, Angie.” I demand.

I just discovered your story and I’m very intrigued. It’s different from the other stories i have read.
It’s really weird Carrie has contact with Angie but doesn’t reach out to Tina to talk and find closure. That she and Bette doesn’t get along and tolerated each other for Angie’s sake i understand but i always felt Carrie tried to pull Angie in and tried in a sneaky way to get Angie on her side and put negative thoughts about her Mama B into her.
And Tina, so far i don’t like your version of her, blaming Bette for everything while she is as much to blame. Poor Bette, she always takes the blame and accept it, thinks herself she is the one who messed up. In this case it’s Tina who asked Bette if she was still in love with her while she already knew that answer. Maybe Bette’s timing could have been better but still it’s Tina who started this mess with her question to Bette.
I hope you will post a new chapter soon and to read about Carrie’s and Tina’s conversation.
