Who’s Your Heart Chasing? – Chapter Two

    “No, go away.”

I know I have to give her time to cool down just like myself but my mini me is behind that door and I know how hot tempered she can get. I walk away and head down over the stairs.

Minutes pass and I hear a slight knock at the door. I carry myself towards the door and answer.

“Hey.” Tina says stepping inside. “Where is she?”

“Our daughter currently doesn’t want to speak to me.”

“What did you say to her, Bette?”

“All I said was I didn’t want her speaking to Carrie anymore unless one of us is present.”

I watch Tina roll her eyes at me.

“Did I say something wrong?” I ask her.

“Do you honestly think Carrie would do any harm to Angie?”

“Tina to be honest, she hates me. I’m not saying that the feeling isn’t mutual but all I’m saying is I’m sure she’s not a big fan of you at the moment either.”

“I realize that but Carrie has watched Angie grow up too.”

“I just don’t approve of this being the right time that they should be contacting each other until you at least have some sort of closure with Carrie.”

“Closure?” Tina places her hand on her hip and looks me deep in the eyes. “There isn’t going to be any closure Bette and the blame is on you.”

“Wait a second.” I take a step back. “My fault?”

“How can there possibly be any closure between us when she feels threatened by you.”

    “Threatened by me?” I chuckle.

    “Yes, you are intimidating Bette.”

I look away not believing what I’m hearing. But that’s always been my problem hasn’t it? I never believe when someone tells me my faults.

    “I’m sorry for that, Tina.”

“It’s ok Bette. But right now we have to talk to Angie.” She moves closer towards the stairs and calls out for her. “Angie!”

We wait a few minutes before we hear her door open.

She slowly descends down the stairs.

“You called her?” Angie looks at me with disappointment in her face.

“Yes. And you can be upset with me as much as you want but I love you and this involves the three of us.”

“Angelica, why didn’t you tell me you were speaking with Carrie?” Tina asks her.

    1. I just discovered your story and I’m very intrigued. It’s different from the other stories i have read.

It’s really weird Carrie has contact with Angie but doesn’t reach out to Tina to talk and find closure. That she and Bette doesn’t get along and tolerated each other for Angie’s sake i understand but i always felt Carrie tried to pull Angie in and tried in a sneaky way to get Angie on her side and put negative thoughts about her Mama B into her.

And Tina, so far i don’t like your version of her, blaming Bette for everything while she is as much to blame. Poor Bette, she always takes the blame and accept it, thinks herself she is the one who messed up. In this case it’s Tina who asked Bette if she was still in love with her while she already knew that answer. Maybe Bette’s timing could have been better but still it’s Tina who started this mess with her question to Bette.

I hope you will post a new chapter soon and to read about Carrie’s and Tina’s conversation.
