    Just another love story from the beginning.

     

    Meanwhile, Kit and Bette were having a conversation among themselves on how to deal with their mother.  Kit watched her sister pace the bedroom nervously back and forth; creating an unnatural trail in the plush carpet.  “What is she doing here Kit?  Tina will never forgive me for keeping this from her”.  Kit inhaled deeply, released her breath and repeated what she said almost a year ago, “You should have told her from the beginning baby sis.  You knew this was going to happen; just didn’t know when”.  Bette stopped to glance at herself in the full length mirror and argued, “You not helping me here, Kit.  Why couldn’t she just listen to me and let me be.  There is no way am I leaving neither Tina nor Kyle”.  Kit walked to stand behind her sister and started to massage her shoulders to release the tension that was building around Bette.  “Tina loves you.  Kyle loves you.  At first it will be a lot for them to handle, but not loving you will not be an option for them.  You are Tina’s world and nothing will stop her from keeping her family together”.  Seeing Bette this insecure at this point in time in her life was disheartening to watch.  She may be the older sister, but Bette was the rational and logical one.  Kit had to make her realize that it will be difficult, but not impossible.  “Are you ready to face the music Elizabeth?”  Smirking at her sister, she replied with “Just as ready as you are Katherine”.  They walked to the living room and Bette spoke with confidence that was lacking minutes before, “Hello mother”.

     

    Pleasantries were not exchanged and before Mrs. Porter could utter a word, Bette said, “Mother, if you don’t mind, I will tell Tina myself”.  Bette was irritated with the disruption that her mother was about to cause in her life.  Bette would have given anything to stand in front of her mother to stop her from ruining her life, but she didn’t have the strength to argue with her.  Instead, she knelt before Tina, reached for her hands and searched into the eyes that caught her heart with one look.  “Tina, there is something about me that I haven’t told you.  It wasn’t from a lack of trust or love; it was a fear of not knowing if you could love me for me.  Love me as Bette and not what comes with me.  It seems as if things have gotten more complicated as time went on.  Kit and I have been swimming through this tunnel together for so long that sometimes it’s hard to separate fantasy from everyday life.  I was not expecting you, but I was hurting without you.  I didn’t tell you because I didn’t have any intention of doing what has been breaded into me.  I don’t plan on hiding who I am”.  Bette challenged her mother when she repeated, “I am not hiding who I am from anyone”.  Returning her attention to Tina she added, “You and Kyle are the loves of my life.  I choose my family”.  Mrs. Porter was getting tired of the emotional scene being played in front of her and didn’t bother to hide her irritation.  “Bette.  We don’t have much time.  You and Katherine need to come home and prepare”.  Just as rudely as their mother interrupted Bette’s moment with Tina, Kit followed suit and said, “Bette is handling the situation just fine mother.  She doesn’t need any help from you”.  Diana faced her daughter were she sat and replied, “Obviously not handling it as she should have”.  Diana decided it was time to change tactics.

    1. March 19th? I wonder why you choose this date…….LOL…..Another great chapter…..I know that you not going to end this soon…..There’s so much more to EXPLORE…….I like the fact that Bette is a queen but what do that make Kit…….BTW……I know why you hear the sound of my voice in your head!!!!!!

    4. The length was just fine. :) I can see why Bette kept this a secret. Like she said, she wanted Tina to love her as Bette. Some people can’t see beyond a title, fame or wealth. I think Tina would’ve been star struck at first but she wouldn’t have cared if Bette was dirt poor. She would’ve loved her regardless. Plus, it’s not easy to believe a piece of news like, “Oh by the way I’m next in line to run my country. Can we have sex now?”

    8. Egypt hey :o)…….I can understand why Bette kept this a secret from Tina but what is going to happen now. Is Bette going to ask Tina to forgive her and will she…..hmmm you sure leave us with a gap. Post soon

    10. Wow, this story is still very intriquing. Bette as a Queen. Tina is as mad as a hornet’s nest, but I can understand Bette wanting Tina to love her for her and not the position. Does this mean that on the next flight to Bette’s country that we will find one Tina Kennard-Porter and a very handsome Kyle Kennard-Porter? Now that would piss off one mommy dearest. Yes you did great but now you have to post again. I do miss the dark/light angles hanging around though.

    13. wow didn’t see this coming–a queen-of the land of pyramids hopeful she’ll rule better and be truer to love then cleo was to her lovers–don’t let tina be to shocked and unwilling to understand –please don’t wait to long to post sitting on the edge of my chair
