    Bette laughs. Already ahead of you. It’s on the counter breathing.

    Well you need take a breath and relax yourself.

    Meanwhile Tina was in the shower thinking about not being healthy enough to have the baby she wanted. She cries into the water so Bette wouldn’t hear her. Her whole body is shaking. After a few minutes she stops herself and finishes her shower.

    Tina comes out after dressing to see that Bette had poured her a glass of red wine. She drank it down.

    Bette watches and then pours her another one. She could tell Tina had been crying but doesn’t say anything.

    Bette is looking into Tina’s swollen eyes when the doorbell rings.

    I’ll get it. Have a seat.

    Bette pays for their food and returns to the kitchen. She takes two plates from the cabinet and forks from the drawer while Tina watches and sips on her wine. Bette places Tina’s food in front of her.

    Thank you baby. She gives Bette a kiss. You take such good care of me.

    Just as much as you take care of me. I love you Tina.

    Tina smiles. I love you too. She says as she slides her hand down Bette’s cheek.

    Bette takes her hand, pulls it to her mouth, and kisses it. Eat baby. She says taking a seat beside her at the bar. They eat at first in silence except for the soft music Bette had put on.

    Tina speaks first. I’m sorry I couldn’t have our child the way we planned it with Markus. I know you specially chose him. Tina’s voice was cracking.

    Tina. Bette turns and places her hand on Tina’s cheek caressing it. I am just grateful I have you and I’m happy to give the egg to have our child, a child you’re going to carry.
