AR: Yeah, that’s the one. So when I met Nathan I was like, “Oh my God, I just did this L Word Convention for Sean Harry” and he goes, “Oh, I have a great story.” Anyway, his story was that he’s a jogger. So he was jogging one morning outside of the hotel in Blackpool where they were staying. So he’s jogging and suddenly here hears this roar. There was a zoo and the lion was there and Nathan just started running faster because he doesn’t realize it was a zoo. It was his first day in Blackpool, he doesn’t know where he is, and he doesn’t know where this roar of the lion is coming from. It turned out it was a zoo but he was scared for a second, running his butt off (laughing). That’s my Nathan story.

Anyway, I love Castle and I was really ecstatic to find out that it was picked up for another season, along with my other ABC’s favorite show, The Modern Family. It’s interesting to note that ABC’s new shows are dominated by strong women, represented by crime fighters in Charlie’s Angels, spy drama of Pan Am and drama queens in soapy Good Christian Belles.

 

The ABC network had 23 slots to fill and they ordered seven new dramas, five new comedies, along with the renewal of Body of Proof, Castle, Modern Family and Happy Endings. ABC also cancelled seven shows, some just after one season. They are Brothers and Sisters, Mr. Sunshine, V, Off the Map, Detroit 1-8-7, No Ordinary Family, and Better With You.

 

Here’s ABC complete line-up for 2011-2012 season. All show times given according to the Eastern Standard Time.

FALL SEASON

MONDAY
8-10 p.m. Dancing with the Stars
10-11 p.m. Castle

The Monday’s schedule won’t change because both shows seemed to be a very good pairing for the network. Reality shows that involve celebrities always attract a lot of viewers, though I’m personally not interested in the reality shows and hardly watch them. I think they overtook the television and the scripted shows are suffering a big deal because of it.
