    511 and a Half

”Tell Mama B to take a picture because it lasts longer, baby.” Tina instructed their precious daughter, feeling Bette’s gaze upon them without turning around.

”Take a picture, Mama B,” Angie repeated with a toothy grin.

”Don’t tempt me, Angie, because I just might,” Bette answered her daughter with a smile of her own.

”Feel better?” Tina asked as she served both her and Bette’s plates.

”Much,” she replied as she took her place at the table. ”Thanks for doing this, T.”

”Thanks for letting me.” Tina sat down and picked up her cutlery, ready to eat. Before she could dig in, Bette leaned over and kissed her slowly and properly. ”Mmm, you’re minty fresh,” Tina teased referring to Bette’s mouthwash.

The brunette just smiled as she picked up her own fork. She looked at Angie who had the biggest grin watching her two mommies. ”Do you want Mama T to spend the night with us, Angie?” Bette asked. The little girl nodded her head excitedly. ”What do you think, T?”

Tina was caught off guard and looked, wide-eyed at her beaming daughter before turning to Bette. ”You don’t play fair. Using our child to do your evil bidding.”

    ”Is it working?”

    ”Uh…Maybe we should talk first?”

”Of course, I’m sorry. Tell me about your day.”

Tina went on to tell Bette about how Adele commandeered the picture and got Jenny kicked off the set. ”The cast and crew are just as confused as I am about the whole thing. It’s just insane. Who is this girl and where did she come from?” Tina asked rhetorically. ”I mean, she was just Jenny’s little meager assistant and now she’s directing the picture?”

”Wow. I never thought I’d say this, but poor Jenny,” Bette replied.

”I know. Shane was the only one of the crew who walked off set with Jenny. I felt so horrible.”

”That’s Shane. Loyal to a fault.”

”I’m just not looking forward to these last few days of shooting. It’s going to be interesting to say the least. We’re supposed to wrap on Friday morning and the wrap party is Saturday night, but if anything happens to make us run long I’m going to be pissed.”

”Can you take a date to the wrap party?” Bette inquired almost timidly.

    1. What a wonderful take on that hot mess called Jodi Lerner and Bette Porter. I thought I was the only one that couldn’t stand that IC contrived character called Jodi Lerner. No way, IMO, that Bette would hookup w/Jodi, b/c Jodi wasn’t physically Bette’s type. Too frumpy and matronly. Marlee lost a bunch of weight and toned up on DWTS and seemed more of Bette’s type then. Sorry to be so shallow but it is Hollywood fiction. ;-)

      • Hi AZ!! So good to see you again! I tend to agree with you that the Jodi-Bette ‘ship was awkward, but probably for different reasons. The physical didn’t bother me as much as the personality clash. They didn’t start off on the right foot in the very beginning so it was doomed to end bad. Remember Helena’s old adage, what begins in chaos, ends in chaos. It’s like Bette smoked a little pot and was still high throughout their relationship. All bad. Thanks for reading and coming out to comment! Hugs!!

      • Great job, enjoyed it very much. And, by all means, please give us more of this vignette and any others you think we readers would enjoy. Thanks much for posting.

        • Thank you, Dainty! Nice to see you comment again! As far as this story goes, I could absolutely write a different one but I’m not sure i could actually continue it. There are a couple other scenes I think I’d like to tackle and develop. Stand by!

      • Thank you, cellphone! I’ve got a few irons in the fire as far as ideas go. It’s just a matter of finding time to sit and bang ’em out. I will do my best!

    2. Loved the way you filled a gap
      the series left open.
That’s why I always say, I’m glad that writers like
you fix what the series left to be desired.
      Continue to fill these gaps.
      I await new chapter.
      10 Stars.
