    David turns to the blonde.

    She smiles charmingly.

    Tina – And I must convince you tonight!

    David chuckles.

    David – Ahhh … that won’t be hard then!

    Tina turns to Meg.

    Tina – He has the most amazing mansion in the Hollywood Hills. It will be the home of Marion’s parents, remember?

    Meg – Oh yes …

    David – Are you also in the movie industry, Meg?

    Meg – No, I just read all her movie scripts. Too curious to wait!

    David – I take it that you are close friends, then.

    Meg and Tina smile at each other.

    Meg – Best friends!

    Tina – Like sisters!

    Bette Porter Gallery, main room, night: Bette is still talking to the reporter after the end of the interview when Gwen Taylor approaches them. She touches the brunette’s arm with some intimacy and smiles seductively.

    Gwen – That was amazing, Bette! I’m so proud of you.

    The gallery owner chuckles somewhat taken by surprise.

    Bette – Thank you, Gwen!

    The reporter looks at them with interest.

    Bette Porter Gallery, main room, night: David Ross, Meg and Tina are still talking.

    Meg – I got a degree in psychology but I work as a sales representative for the pharmaceutical industry.

    Tina – And she does pro-bono work as a counselor for battered women.

    She notices Gwen talking to Bette and the reporter, the redhead touching her girlfriend’s arm. The brunette looks uncomfortable at times but is trying to be friendly.

    Meg – Well, I do my best on my free time.

    David – Fascinating work, Meg! I’m sure you have a story or two which would make a good movie for Tina.

    The art dealer notices that the blonde is not happy and looks in the same direction.

    David – It’s been that way for a couple of years. Gwen is not easily deterred, my dear.

    The producer feigns a smile.  

    Tina – Apparently not …

    1. Very nice…..Tina speaks her truth to Eric and reveals that she and Bette are together to Gwen. She is taking some bold steps toward coming out. I like it. I’m sure Bette enjoyed the attention in front of Gwen. Now, time to get on home to your celebration Ms Bette!!

      I love how Tina handled Eric and Gwen. She’s getting used to being out it seems.

    8. I fell so far behind in reading this and just caught up! This story brings such a smile to my face and I still love every moment of it! I’m kind of happy that I didn’t remember the whole story so that it could still feel like it was my first time reading it too but I definitely remembered this chapter!
