    Tina – Barely … Bette – Wait here. She breaks the embrace and steps out of the pool while the blonde leans back against the wall and closes her eyes. A moment later she comes back to the backyard wearing a robe and carrying one for her girlfriend. She helps the blonde out of the pool and

    Bette – Wait here.

    She breaks the embrace and steps out of the pool while the blonde leans back against the wall and closes her eyes.

    A moment later she comes back to the backyard wearing a robe and carrying one for her girlfriend. She helps the blonde out of the pool and wraps her in the robe. She places a towel on Tina’s head and gently dries her hair.

    Tina – Mmmm … I love when you take care of me …

    The gallery owner kisses her lips softly.

    Bette – I’m not done taking care of you.

    She grabs the blonde’s hand and pulls her inside the house.

    Tina – Where are we going?

    Bette – A bath …

    She winks.

    Bette’s bedroom, early morning: Bette and Tina are naked and asleep in bed. The phone rings and the blonde opens her eyes.

    Tina – Baby … phone …

    The brunette places the sheet over her face.

    The phone continues to ring and Bette places the pillow over her face.

    Tina sighs half asleep and jumps over her girlfriend to answer the call.

    Tina – Hellooo … (pause) … Yes, this is Bette Porter’s residence … (pause) … Oh, yes, Mr. Porter, she is here …

    Her face breaks into a smile.

    Bette opens her eyes and smiles.  

    Tina – No, I’m not the help, Mr. Porter. I’m … a friend, Tina. Nice to …

    Her smile fades.

    Tina – Yes … just a minute.

    She hands the phone to her girlfriend.

    Tina – Your father …

    The brunette nods and sits up straight with a grin on her face.

    Bette – Daddy?!

    She picks up the phone while covering herself with the sheet.

    The blonde chuckles and walks over to the bathroom.

    Bette – Daddy? How are you?

    She giggles like a little girl.

    Bette – Yes, Daddy, it was wonderful! Everyone loved it!  … (pause) … Yes, they came. And I was on TV too! I’ll send you the tape. … (pause) … Thank you, Daddy! When are you coming to visit? You have to see it!

    Her smile fades.

    Bette – What a shame … You should see it … I wanted you to … (pause) … OK, maybe next time … (pause)

    She smiles again.

    Bette – Yes, I’ll send you the pictures … (pause) … OK … Talk to you later, Daddy! … (pause) … Thanks! Bye!

      So, i see meeting with Melvin in the future. Always know how he would react on Tina, but always don’t know how Bette would react on his reaction in different stories. Is she dismiss Tina, like in TLW and leave her alone to go to the home, or she can find the courage and defend her girlfriend/partner?

      I still love how assertive Tina is in her relationship to Bette. She’s not yet completely out yet but she doesn’t hesitate in anything when she’s with Bette. Relaxed and self-assured in their physical relationship, with Bette’s friends, out in the club, claiming her woman in front of Gwen and even picks up the Bette’s phone. I think she’s ready to be out officially.
      I’m really curious how Tina will react to a meeting with Melvin.
