    Bette: “really? And you found out hearing my mom’s conversation…? Who was that American woman talking with her?” Tina: “I don’t know, I’ve only seen her face once, she used to come very late and leave before I woke up, I only could hear her voice, a perfect English…, hmm, her name was Lenore” Bette:

    Bette: “Lenore? Did you know her last name?”

    Tina: “no, she was an outsider”

    Bette: “I see, there are many things we need to find out with Louise…, baby, do you know my father?”

    Tina: “no, I heard about him, but never saw his face…, not even in pictures”

    Bette: “look, it could be a little dangerous if he knew that you’re my girlfriend”

    Tina: “why?”

    Bette: “he tried to bribe almost all those girls that were after me, and it’s not happening recently, he has been doing that since he knew I was a lesbian”

    Tina: “really? What does he expect to achieve with that?”

    Bette: “don’t know, maybe he wants to gain control over me”

    Tina: “but you said you didn’t love those girls”

    Bette: “but he didn’t know, look, baby, I don’t want you to be surprised by him, I’d prefer that you avoid him…, I’ll show you his picture, come to my office”

    Bette took Tina to her office and opening a drawer took a picture from a pile of her father’s photographs and showed it to her, there.

    Tina: “hmm, this face looks familiar”

    Bette: (apprehensive) “perhaps you saw him in the police station he came looking for me”

    Tina: “I know he came, but Kit took me to the restroom at that moment, so, I didn’t see him”

    Bette: “why she took you there?”

    Tina: “she dragged me there and she asked me if you were with me the whole night”

    Bette: “but we already told her that”

    Tina: “yeah, it was strange, and now that I remember, she was nervous…, but this picture…, I think your dad looks like someone else”

    Bette: “who?”

    Tina hesitates and looked at the pile of pictures, there it was, Melvin Porter, a man she never saw or met, but resembling someone who she knew since her childhood. The blonde check in the pile and found an old picture, probably from around 20 or 30 years ago, she took that in her hands.

    2. Oh no….Melvin is about to see Tina! This does not sound good. I still do not know why Melvin should not know that Tina is at the company, but that is what everyone including Bette has indicated. What a drama!!!

      This was a very good chapter. Glad the girls got away from the bank without being detected. The plan worked well.

      Now, what in the hell is Fay Buckley been up to? Buckley, Fremont and Learner have been trailing after Bette for six months. What are they up to? It appears that Aaron has been working for Buckley instead of the other way around.

      This is an intriguing story and I want to know more. Thank you for this chapter and I hope the you can give us more soon.

      • Hi Martha:

        Yes, we still don’t know what is the problem with Melvin seeing Tina, but the concern is different with Bette than with Kit and the old generation. Bette fears that her father will use Tina against her, but Kit, Peggy have other motivations to avoid Melvin to see Tina, that is taylored with Melvin and Maxine’s pasts.

        Buckley is an important piece in this puzzle, and she will reveal something to Malvin very soon.

      What a fantastic chapter!

      Glad the girls were out of the building before Melvin and his man got to the bank. They are so clever!

      I am almost feeling sorry for Aaron, he surely will not survive this. So, he is the one working for Faye Buckley? We already knew Kelly and Jodi work for her. The bitches, i hope they get what they deserve. Stupid woman.

      Please let Tina stay hidden from Melvin, they can’t meet. Melvin will do anything to protect him self and if he can use Tina to get Bette he will do it.
