“Bow chica wow wow,” Dana hooted. 

“And she held me all night. And it felt amazing.”

“All you did was sleep? Ugh. Boooorrrrinnnnnng.”

“It was everything but boring, Al.”

Tina looked into the distance. Dana and Alice exchanged glances.

“Let me guess…she’s in the pool now. So predictable.”

Tina nodded.

“I knew it.”

“Yep. And I need to run.”

“Right. Me too. What are we standing around for? Let’s do this,” Dana clapped her hands and started jogging in place.

“Let’s do the long loop,” Tina said. 

Dana nodded. Alice stood dumbfounded as she looked back and forth between her best friend and her girlfriend.

“I hate you both.”

“Love you too,” Tina and Dana said simultaneously. 

Dana set the pace. She started off slowly. Slow enough for Alice to keep up at first.

Dana ran alongside Alice. When she was about to increase the speed she told Alice to stay at that pace. Alice was already gasping for air. All she could do was nod.  

“Ready?” Dana looked at Tina. 

Tina smiled and nodded. Tina loved working out with Dana because Dana didn’t hold back. She was an elite athlete and loved to compete. Dana gradually got faster. Tina smirked because Dana typically kicked her ass but this time Tina was prepared. She ran a lot in Vancouver. 

Dana increased the pace again. To her surprise, Tina was in step with her. Dana looked to her right and Tina smiled. Dana smiled back and nodded. This was exactly what Tina needed. She loved the feel of the wind on her face. She loved the sound of her shoes on the pavement. And she loved how her lungs burned the harder she pushed herself. Dana was definitely pushing her as she increased the pace one last time. 

“Full speed,” Dana yelled. 

Tina looked at Dana. Dana pointed. They were coming to the end of the loop. As they were making their final turn, Dana wanted to race. Tina’s legs were toast but she craved that final sprint.

“Full speed,” Dana yelled again.

Tina nodded. They flew around the corner and bolted to the group of trees by the benches. 

Thoughts of Bette from the night before flashed in front of Tina. Bette looked amazing in the purple dress. She smelled delicious. Tina loved holding her and cupping her left titty as they watched the movie. Tina ran faster chasing Bette. She needed to catch her. She missed her. She loved her. Tina remembered how Bette looked at her when she was cradled in her arms. She could feel Bette’s body pressed up against hers during the night. Tina ran faster until she collapsed on the grass near the trees by the benches.
