Bette asked Shane to be her best-woman and Tina asked Alice. The couple elected to have a somewhat traditional wedding with bridesmaids and escorts. The wedding party consisted of Jenny paired with Max, and Dana with David. Wilson as ring bearer and Jung Yin as flower girl. James completed the ensemble by having the honor of walking Tina down the aisle. Kit and the wedding planner took care of the venue, the band and the catering. Winnie knew several designers so she helped with deciding on the dresses or tuxedo fashions that everyone would wear depending on preference.

With Angie taken care of and wedding plans underway Bette and Tina turned their attention to their respective careers. Employing Angus gave them both the flexibility to put in hours as needed knowing Angie was well cared for. In a short few months Angus had become part of the family. He adored Angie, but all the extra time he spent with the Kennard-Porter family outside of work had more to do with the crush he’d developed on Bette’s sister Kit. Angus was smitten and he thought Kit liked him too, but it was maddening when she refuted his romantic overtures because of the age difference.
Fifteen years her junior he didn’t see any issue with age and insisted they wouldn’t know for sure if it mattered unless they explored the possibility. In all honesty Kit had developed feelings for the ‘skinny white boy’ as Bette joked when Kit confided in her, but she was scared. Her track record for ill-advised romantic involvements were legendary. She’d finally broken off the affair with Benjamin, but they remained good friends. Melvin liked him, and Benjamin was a trusted adviser for business decisions, especially now that she had the financial resources to invest. Her plans included expanding the Planet and purchasing property to open a second location in the same up and coming trendy Santa Monica arts district as Bette’s new gallery.
However, Angus was persistent and finally found the way to Kit’s heart; music and her spirit of giving back to help young musicians. He’d connected with her through their mutual love of music. They talked endlessly about her career, her triumphs and her struggles breaking into the music business. She’d shared with him how many of her fans would still come up to her and tell stories of how the songs she’d written and performed impacted or changed their lives for the better. It was during one of these conversations when he told her of his musical ambitions and asked if she would help him with a song that he’d been working on called Bareback. He had the music, which was a bass guitar solo and had written most of the lyrics but since it was a duet, he needed her voice to bring it to life.

Oh, I always liked Kit with Angus….menopause! Oh, yea…..I remember it well. The hot flashes particularly…the heat starts deep in your core and the spreads through your body like a volcanic eruptions – last a few minutes and you sitting there wondering where the hell did that come from? After two or three you realize what is happening.
Nice chapter…. romance between Melvin and Peggy? Wow…who knew? I was wondering who you would have escort Tina down the isle. Good choice!

May i ask you about Kit and Angus – really? Don’t you think that age difference between them too large? How much – 20-25 years? And with older woman and younger man (we know that in generally men have more sexual relationship, than women.) So 30 years man and 55 years woman – i just can’t see them in long period.
According to this story its 15 years….Once you are an adult, I think that is up to you who you want to date. Will there be problems? More than likely but in this case, its the younger person going after the older one. I have a lot more problem with older folks trying to entice younger ones. That to me feels like one cannot accept their age and want a sweet young thing. At least they are not hiding anything from each other. So if both are willing, why not!
Maybe in this story Angus 40 or nearly years old than.
In TLW i must say their story – it’s one of most believable story in this show for me (usually relationship like this ended with younger half cheated with person their age)
Menopause in most women happens in their late 40s and early 50s. For me it was age 50. So that would make Angus 35? So when Kit is 65, Angus will be 50. When Kit is 75, Angus will be 60. And when Kit passes on, Angus will still be able to marry again.
In love, there are always risk that it will not turn out the way you would like. But if you see the risk as being worthwhile, then you go for it. For you never know, it could just work out!
