Bette reaches up and moves Tina’s hair from her eyes.

(Bette) I want you to come, so I’m asking you. If you also want to come, then maybe think about saying yes

Tina smiles as she takes her in.

(Tina) Can I have some time to think about it?

(Bette nods) Sure

Saturday afternoon, Tina is driving and answers her cell.

(Alice) Hey Tee

(Tina smiles) Hey Al

(Alice) I’m trying to get onto Helena, have you spoken with her?

(Tina) Ah, not since this morning, what’s going on?

(Alice) We’re all having a drink at my place before the opening and I wanted to see if she wants to join us

(Tina) Oh, well her and I are going together actually, so we could both come for a drink if that works?

(Alice) You’re not going with Bette?

(Tina) Ah, no, I’m not

(Alice smiles) I forget you two still like to pretend you’re not together sometimes

Tina raises her eyebrows and laughs, and Alice smiles.

(Alice) Sorry, I know I’m annoying

(Tina smiles) You’re fine

(Alice) I’m just trying to get a rise out of you. It never really seems to bother you though

Tina smiles as she pulls up at a set of traffic lights.

(Tina) It doesn’t, Bette and I know what we’re doing, and that’s all that matters to me

Tina stares out the window for a moment. She clears her throat and focuses back on Alice.

(Tina) You can keep trying though if you like, it’s entertaining

(Alice smiles) Will do

Tina smiles.

(Alice) Well great, come over beforehand and then we’ll all head in together

(Tina smiles) OK, sounds great

That afternoon, Alice’s apartment. Tina and Helena knock on the front door and after a moment Alice answers.

(Alice smiles) Hey you two, come on in

They all smile at each other and hug hello, and Alice leads them down the hallway. They greet Shane and Dana as well and then all settle around the island bench, picking from a platter Alice has prepared.

(Alice) I see you brought your fancy wine this time Helena, I’ll get you a glass. Good thing you did because we only have beer

Helena smiles as she opens the bottle.
