    (Bette smiles) Can I invade my own privacy? Tina laughs. (Tina) I don’t know, I guess not? Bette smiles at her. (Tina) Well I feel like I’m invading your privacy Bette smiles. (Bette) Well I’d say I don’t mind, but I guess that’s not the point They smile at each other. (Bette) Well they said

    (Bette smiles) Can I invade my own privacy?

    Tina laughs.

    (Tina) I don’t know, I guess not?

    Bette smiles at her.

    (Tina) Well I feel like I’m invading your privacy

    Bette smiles.

    (Bette) Well I’d say I don’t mind, but I guess that’s not the point

    They smile at each other.

    (Bette) Well they said it was best for me to stay here, that it might help with my memory

    Bette shrugs and Tina nods.

    (Tina) I guess it’s not weird for you, us being here together

    Bette looks at her.

    (Bette) No, not at all. You live here

    Bette shrugs.

    (Bette) To me at least

    They hold each other’s gaze for a moment and smile at one another.

    (Tina) You head upstairs, I’ll see what I can find in the kitchen

    (Bette nods) OK

    They both stand from the couch, and Bette looks to her.

    (Bette) After we’ve done that can you tell me why we’re not together?

    Tina raises her eyebrows and they hold each other’s gaze.

    (Tina) Let’s sit down again after dinner

    (Bette nods) OK

    Bette makes her way upstairs and enters her bedroom. She takes some time looking around, examining the clothes in the closet and casting her eyes over the bathroom cabinets. She then stands by the bed and takes in her surroundings, feeling an overwhelming sadness at the absence of anything of Tina’s in the space. She also notices with interest the lack of any evidence of her new relationship.

    A short while later, Tina is in the kitchen serving up a meal she has prepared from the ingredients she found in Bette’s fridge. She turns as she sees Bette walking through from the hallway and they smile at each other.

    (Bette) Found everything OK?

    (Tina smiles) Yes, everything is the same really. You’re nothing if not organised

    Bette smiles as she moves to the island bench and picks up some dishes to carry through to the dining room.

    They finish their meal and then move to the couch, Bette placing a pot of tea on the coffee table. She pours two cups and hands one to Tina, and then settles alongside her. Bette looks over at her, studying her for a moment before speaking.

    1. Hummm…. so the confusion has begun…. Bette has a child whom she does not know, a sister whose relationship has made a 180 degree turn in 15 years and all she can think about is Tina. And she is already scheming to keep Tina around. Let see where this goes….

    5. Hey ! Thanks a lot for sharing this new chapter. I’m really looking forward to next chapter. Well, I still think what Bette is doing here is highly unfair to Tina and her current life and relationship ( I mean, let’s be honest, that looks a lot like a trap she wants her to fall in ), especially since Bette obviously loves her very much, so that still troubles be a little, but I definitely want to see where this is going. Thanks a lot !!
