    (Tina) I can stay tomorrow night as well, Angie is happy at her friend’s house. But I’ll need to be back with her from Friday Bette nods. (Bette) So someone else will stay from then? (Tina) Shane managed to get onto Kit. She’ll be back by then, so she can stay with you. I’m sure

    (Bette) So someone else will stay from then?

    (Tina) Shane managed to get onto Kit. She’ll be back by then, so she can stay with you. I’m sure she’s anxious to see you

    Bette frowns, holding her gaze for a moment.

    (Bette) Kit?

    Tina looks at her.

    (Tina) Oh

    Tina furrows her brow.

    (Tina) Bette, Kit is in an entirely different place from where she was in 2002

    Tina shrugs.

    (Tina) You’re close. Very close actually. You’re very important to one another

    Bette raises her eyebrows. She shifts her gaze from Tina, looking ahead and gathering her thoughts. She looks back to her.

    (Bette) I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. To hear she’s doing well. I really can’t

    Bette points to her chest.

    (Bette) But Tee, I’m not close to her

    Tina furrows her brow.

    (Bette) I’ve never been close to her. And from where I’m sitting right now I honestly can’t imagine ever being in the future. That’s amazing that you’re saying we’re in a good place now, but I assume that took a very long time to achieve. And happened gradually

    Tina frowns and nods.

    (Tina) Yes, it did

    Bette shrugs.

    (Bette) Well I think everyone needs to remember where I’m at right now

    Bette shakes her head and sighs.

    (Bette) I’m sorry but she’s the last person I want to stay with me

    Tina studies her for a moment.

    (Tina) You might feel differently once you see her. She’s doing so well these days Bette, you’re not going to believe it

    Tina reaches towards her and touches her arm.

    (Tina) But yes, you’re right. I think we could all maybe consider more how this must feel for you. Or try to at least

    They smile at each other.

    (Tina) I’ll talk to the others, we can work out for one of them to stay over the weekend. And maybe you could see Kit once she’s back. Spend some time together and then see how you feel. If you do decide you feel comfortable I know she’d love to be here for you, and stay with you next week

    1. Hummm…. so the confusion has begun…. Bette has a child whom she does not know, a sister whose relationship has made a 180 degree turn in 15 years and all she can think about is Tina. And she is already scheming to keep Tina around. Let see where this goes….

    5. Hey ! Thanks a lot for sharing this new chapter. I’m really looking forward to next chapter. Well, I still think what Bette is doing here is highly unfair to Tina and her current life and relationship ( I mean, let’s be honest, that looks a lot like a trap she wants her to fall in ), especially since Bette obviously loves her very much, so that still troubles be a little, but I definitely want to see where this is going. Thanks a lot !!
