    Chapter 32 – More Packing

Mary: Oh, we are going shopping on Saturday?

Bette: Yes, Angie needs some snack foods, coffee, an emergency stash and enough food to eat for a couple of days until the food services open on Tuesday.

Mary: Food service will not open until Tuesday?

Bette: That has been the tradition. They expect that students will eat off campus until then. So, Angie gets to fix her own meals for Sunday and Monday. And I’m sure that Suzanne will need to be included in that.

Angie:  Actually, Tuesday is registration day and classes officially start on Wednesday. But food services open at 6:00 am on Tuesday and will then keep their normal hours. I believe they close the serving line at 8:00 pm and clear the dining hall at 9:00 in the evening.

Mary: Well, you need to eat regular meals at regular times.

Angie:  Oh, I’m planning on it. I also want to get on some kind of exercise program as quickly as I can. I may start some bicycle riding until it starts snowing. I wonder if they have an indoor track or an indoor pool for winter?

Bette: They do. You just need to put yourself on a schedule and stick to it. But don’t forget to have some fun. And do not over indulge in anything. But you will figure all of that out.

Angie: This is exciting, you know?

Daniel:  Yeah, we do. And we are excited with you.

Tina:  Yes, we are. This is a going to be a whole new world for you. Is there anything you need which we haven’t discussed?

Angie:  I don’t think so. I have my finances covered. I have my food program and I will have some emergency stash and some snacks. All my stuff has been packed up except what is going in my suit case.

Bette: Tina will give you the copies of your emergency power of attorney. You need to register that with the school and the local hospital. Marilyn has her copies and we will have copies as well. I hope we never have to invoke that, but we have it just in case. And tomorrow night we have dinner with Marilyn.

Daniel: It’s been a while since we have seen Grandma Marilyn.
