Chapter 33 – Days of Fun and Then New Haven
Daniel loved the meal. The chicken breast was enormous and he knew it would fill him up. The sides were not as good as his mom’s but, they were nice with his chicken. Bette passed around the bottled green tea that was included. Angie then passed around extra napkins and wet wipe packages for cleanup. They began to eat and discuss the wonderful art they had seen earlier. They laughed about the guard following them. They then started a what if discussion on if they decided to try to steal a painting from the museum, how would they do it? And while this was going on, the camera was clicking pictures every 30 seconds.
They were all laughing and having a good time. Daniel asked what would it take to steal a piece of art work from the Metropolitan. After some discussion, they finally decided that if they were to steal a painting, they would need some inside help, otherwise they would all be in jail.
Angie: Jail? Well, I’m out. I believe that would interfere with my career in the law, if I were to go to jail.
Mary: Don’t worry Angie, we are not the ones going to pull some painting heist from the New York City Metropolitan Art Museum. We would hardly know where to begin.
They finished up their lunch and put everything away in the basket except for the Frisbee. Angie and Daniel went out in the field and threw it about to one another while Mary and Bette laid on the blanket. Tina went and review the pictures the camera had been taking and then went to get a few more candid shots of Daniel and Angie and then of Mary and Bette. She then asked Mary to take a picture of her and Bette sitting on the blanket together, with and without their sunglasses on. She then took some of Mary.
Bette then suggested that the group walk around the park and see what there was to see. They made their way back to Central Park West and hailed a cab to take them back to the apartment. Bette had some bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches and chips delivered to the apartment. They had an afternoon tea around 4:30 and then proceeded to their rooms to prepare for their night at the theatre. Dinner would be at 9:00 at restaurant in near Times Square.
