Chapter 5 – A Day with No Plans
Daniel: I’d love to have some golf lessons. I’m already pretty good at tennis. I wouldn’t mind learning something different.
Bette: Okay, I’ll look into setting you guys up with some lessons, play time and clubs for when you get back from New York. Hopefully, me and Mama T will be busy looking at potential homes and you guys will be doing something you enjoy. Of course, if you hate it, then we will have to find something else for you to do.
Tina: Daniel…you and Mama B will be having dinner with Shay and Jordan on Monday evening. I think they are planning on swimming for a couple of hours before dinner.
Daniel: Really…cool!! That’s really great. Shay and Jordan are so cool!
Bette: Well, we will have an early dinner so we can get back home and get to bed. You will need a good night’s rest so you will be ready for your school interview and testing which is all the next day.
Daniel: It will be okay. This is not the first time I’ve had all day testing.
Tina: I’m sure you will do fine. You just know that Angie and I will have you in our thoughts while we are in New York. You just relax and do the best you can and everything will be fine.
Bette: And I’ll be in the building waiting on you to finish. And when you do finish, we’ll go out to eat or something.
Tina: Daniel, have you got some suggestions for what you would like to do Saturday?
Daniel: Yeah; there is this free concert at the Hollywood Bowl of the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra. It’s about 2 hours and starts at 8:00 pm. I’d like to go to that.
Bette: Doesn’t Aunt Jeanette play in that orchestra?
Tina: Yes, I believe she does.
Angie: Do you know what kind of music they are going to be playing?
Daniel: They are going to have a bunch of soloists and they are going to be playing Broadway hits. I think some from Les Miserable and from Phantom of the Opera and bunch of others.
Angie: That sounds interesting.
Tina: Okay, let’s plan on going then. We will need to have an early dinner. Now what about the afternoon?
