    “It’s all so cloak and dagger,” Kit sighed. “I hope this professor is as good as you say he is.” “Alice, I don’t care what he says but I’m coming with you. Bette is my partner and I need to be there when he gives you the news, whether it’s good or bad,” Tina said

    “It’s all so cloak and dagger,” Kit sighed. “I hope this professor is as good as you say he is.”

    “Alice, I don’t care what he says but I’m coming with you. Bette is my partner and I need to be there when he gives you the news, whether it’s good or bad,” Tina said with finality in her voice and Alice knew not to argue.

    “I was about to suggest it myself,” Alice smiled. “Just thinking about being alone with this guy gives me the creeps. That’s why I mentioned that I might bring a friend.”

    “Good for you, Al,” Shane said, helping to get their bags out of the trunk. “Hey TK, is it okay we all bunk at your place for tonight? I want to be here when you guys get back.”

    “Of course, I would love if you all stay. I don’t really want to be alone.”

    Shane and Carmen volunteered to order and pick up their lunch while the rest of the gang unpacked and freshened up. Tina felt restless. She needed to do something, to move. She couldn’t just sit idly and wait. Even after lunch they still had several more hours before their meeting when Tina remembered that it was around this time when Bette’s sister Katie had died in childbirth.

    “Hey Al, do you want to go to Public Library? We can check the newspapers again. We might find something. Katie was giving birth around this time. Remember that article about her funeral?”

    “Yes I do. The mysterious figure in black. The whole family in mourning. Let’s go.”

    They went straight to the microfilms readers and began going through newspapers for June. After an hour of searching, Alice got bored and began reading some old issues of LA Magazine that she found on the coffee table. She saw a familiar looking cover and checked the date, August 1999. “Hey Tina, I think there’s one of my old articles in this one.”

    She flipped through the pages and whispered excitedly, “Yep, here it is, Ten Reasons Why Spa Treatments Are Good For Your Health. Oh my God, look at this, Tina. I can’t believe I wrote this kind of stuff for like ten years. I can’t even think of this as serious writing. I’m so much better now.”

    10. Happy to see a new chapter of one of my favorite tibette fics! Despite the long absence you still haven’t lost your touch, I can feel Tina’s sadness and longing for Bette and Alice still never failed to crack me up. But I’m with skycaptain, I know Bette loves Tina so much but she knows her sister died while giving birth and she has the pills that can possibly save her life yet she threw it away so she can go back to her future. I find it hard to believe that Bette is capable of doing that but she has her reasons I just thought maybe there’s other way to save a life without altering the future or without having any negative impact. Can hardly wait to see what’s gonna happen next so PPVVS! Still your fan… phacey
