Is she going to be okay?” “She’s going to be just fine,” Bette smiled, hoping to keep her fears inside. Christina was about to give birth herself and here she was, worrying about Katie. “You need

    Christina was right behind her, looking at Bette with concern on her face. “Katie looks tired and worried, Elizabeth. Is she going to be okay?”

    “She’s going to be just fine,” Bette smiled, hoping to keep her fears inside. Christina was about to give birth herself and here she was, worrying about Katie. “You need to take care of yourself.”

    “I am and my doctor said I’m getting along fabulously. Katie is like a sister to me and since your disappearance we’ve got so much closer, so of course I worry.”

    “I know and I’m so grateful that you have each other,” Bette stepped closer and gave Christina a hug. “You do know that I have to leave so it makes me happy that Katie and you are close like sisters.”

    Christina looked into her eyes and frowned, “You look worried too. Do you know something we don’t? Of course you do. You have visited the future. You do know. What is it?”

    “I can’t say anything, Christina, you know that. I feel like if I say something then things will change and create some sort of a butterfly effect that will affect the future. And that scares me.”

    “Butterfly effect?”

    “Oh, this is something I picked up out there,” Bette blushed slightly and motioned with her hand toward the skies. “Sometimes I forget where I am. It’s just this theory that a small change at one place can result in a bigger change at a later time or another dimension. There was this scientist who came up with the ‘butterfly effect’ name using an example of a butterfly flapping her wings in one place that resulted in a hurricane several weeks later somewhere else.”

    “Oh I see. So if you change something here, it will create this effect and things might change in the future but you don’t know what will change and who will be affected by it.”

    “Exactly. What if I come back and there’s no Tina,” Bette shook her head in fear.

    “Are you sure that this is what you want to do…go back?”

    Bette raised her head and looked at her first love. Really looked with her eyes and her heart. Christina was right here in flesh and blood, beautiful as ever, radiant in her pregnancy. She was Bette’s salvation when she thought all was lost and she would never find her true love after the betrayal and horror that Eric put her through.

    10. Happy to see a new chapter of one of my favorite tibette fics! Despite the long absence you still haven’t lost your touch, I can feel Tina’s sadness and longing for Bette and Alice still never failed to crack me up. But I’m with skycaptain, I know Bette loves Tina so much but she knows her sister died while giving birth and she has the pills that can possibly save her life yet she threw it away so she can go back to her future. I find it hard to believe that Bette is capable of doing that but she has her reasons I just thought maybe there’s other way to save a life without altering the future or without having any negative impact. Can hardly wait to see what’s gonna happen next so PPVVS! Still your fan… phacey
